Don't all the elves go to valinor when they die? (a.k.a heaven)
Yes, but technically Valinor is still a part of this side, you just can't get to it normally. They don't get the blessing of men, to move on to some other state of being beyond their mortal shell.

That's still a part of this side, men just haven't figured out rocket ships yet.

Valinor was in Aman which was across the Sundering Seas between it and Middle-earth until it was removed from Arda by Eru Ilúvatar during the second age after the Numenor attempted their invasion of the continent.
Elves are infinitely more badass than any other race though.
It's more like another dimension, un-conceivable by men ect.
Nah. When the Numenorians got drowned, Valinor just got pulled away while what remained of Arda was made round. It's still in the same realm of existence, just set apart. Elves still sail there, they're just the only ones that know how, since they still think in 2D. Just imagine the ships of the elves going entirely straight, right through the space that separates the continents, rather than obeying the laws of physics and going to Middle Earth North America.
It's a flying continent. Someday, they'll make it in Minecraft and you'll understand.

I thought that in the 3rd age it was made into our universe

Also, I hate minecraft. I get what your saying and that would be a physical way of describing it. Me saying stuff to do with different dimensions is right too (2d compared to 3d)
I'll be able to read The Silmarilion very soon. I picked it up months ago.
It's easy to believe in ideals, but it's harder to keep them when things go bad.

I'm reading it now, it's really good.
The other valar just looked down on him 'cus he's different.
...Maybe I got it wrong back when I read it but I think it worked the other way around, he looked down on the other Valar because he was the different one, being skillful in the crafts of everyone else and wanting everyone to serve him for it.
I did read it a few days ago but your probably right. I get the wrong gist a lot of the time.
Extended Editions always make stuff so much better.
More Beorn and the white stag in Mirkwood and Bard being a smartass all makes me smile.
