Watched Spike Lee's Chiraq.
I feel like I know even less about Chicago's gang culture after that film than before it.
Watched Pixar/Disney's Inside Out a couple days ago. Liked it a lot. Very fun, charming, clever gags (especially the "facts and opinions" bit), unique premise (I mean, anthropomorphized emotions?) and not without some heartwarming moments. Plus CG animation was really breathtaking throughout the movie. Even if you don't tend to go for animated movies, I'd still recommend giving it a shot. You won't regret it.

If I had to guess Picture and Director will be split between Mad Max and Revenant. Probably probably Picture for Revenant and Director for Miller.

What I want to know is where the fuck is Beast's of No Nation in Foreign Language, I thought they got a super limited theatrical release in LA so it would qualify
The Revenant is good.
But it is not great.

They will give it to Revenant because they like the director.
Which is the same reason they even nominated Mad Max at all. It gives me a little hope that they'll give it to Miller because he's already 70 and might not have another movie in him (especially given the development hell Fury Road had).

Speaking of which, I saw Fury Road recently.
Most of it went over my head since I never saw the original, but the vehicle action was cool.
