I saw Red Sparrow tonight. A very well made spy film, that really leans into it's R rating. There's only a single three minute fight scene in the film, and the rest is all double crosses and questioning loyaties. There are a few rape scenes though, and two torture scenes (the later of which plays like a scene from a Saw movie but is shot completely clean) so if you're easily disturbed by that kind of thing be prepared.
I think I liked Atomic Blonde a bit better, but this was still really good.
Binged All Of Gundam In 4 Years, 1 Week and All I Got Was This Stupid Mask
FF XIV: Walked to the End
Started Legend of the Galactic Heroes (14/07/23), pray for me.
Black Panther reminded me I had yet to sit down to watch Creed so
Holy shit
Why didn't I see this sooner? I don't even care about boxing as a sport and have only ever seen the Rocky movies as rainy weekend filler, so why does it actually hit me so hard? Legitimately, it is good. Like, really good. Not just for action, which is great--there's a single-take fight that's absofuckinglutely awesome--but it just looks so good and hits you with feels without being terribly sentimental. There's a moment in the finale where the sound cuts out and then there's a loud intake of breath...and I found myself on my feet. And I sit on the floor when watching movies.
Why this film didn't win more awards is beyond me

A little late but I watched the teaser trailer for "Christopher Robin" and not gonna lie, I teared up when I heard Jim Cummings' voice as Pooh again. T_T

Annihiliation, anyone?
Thought it good, effective creepiness and alien
Annihilation is my Movie of the Year.
And it's only March!
Spoiler:
I just dug how truly alien and unsettling the thing was
Finally watched Coco last Saturday.
I've gotta say, it deserved the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.
...I may or may not have cried a little near the end.
The Act of dozing off in the afternoon is a luxury indeed.
Coffee would be nice, though.

Now Revamped!
Fell asleep 1.5/3 of the way through The Last Jedi.
Savor it, that may be the last movie that you will ever see.
They didn't do it to get awards, they only did it to tell a story that no one even knew about.
After Apollo Creed died, I thought that will be the last of his generation, until this gem came.
If you watched it for the story, then you'll see how much change has happened ever since. 15 rounds is really brutal back in the days especially if you're a heavyweight boxer.
Also watched Last Jedi.
"Impressive. Every word in that sentence is wrong."
Nice to see Luke and Leia make crisp sarcastic remarks.
And nice to see Luke take up the mantle of the trolls and elevated it.
One question about this though...
If Yoda said that "students surpassing their teachers is the greatest achievement", then did he just agree with the basics of the Sith about the Rule of Two?
Also, if he just realized it, then does that mean the Sith may be onto something, but along the way, someone twisted it in such a way that it's only focused on attaining power?
Not dealing with it...
Why even try?
This is golden...
Pacific Rim 2: Electric Boogaloo was a bust
bad movie
I keep hearing Boyega's good but that the script kept going for jokes over drama and they Bay-Transformers-ized the action

Currently (like, actually) finishing Apocrypha 3
The kids were a mistake. Remove them and add other pilots and maybe the movie would be okay. As it stands it felt too much like a YA novel adaptation.
The final action scene was okay though
Watched Ready Player One yesterday.
Standard fun, silly stuff - slightly exceeded my expectations.
don't quote me on this
Watched Ravenous, a French Netflix Original, about a week ago, but I like it enough that I'm rewatching it.
The movie is genuinely very creepy and makes me uneasy, which is a refreshing break from all the mindless zombie flicks out nowadays. Definitely recommend it
Wacthed Infinity War.
So much better than I had expected.
Tho to be fair I abstained from any trailers and news of it.
