"Shirou just imagined he destroyed it. Geez guys, the fact that he thought he projected Excalibur should have tipped you off."
Ragnarok, come day of wrath
That fallen souls might bear our plea.
To hasten the Divine's return.
O piteous Wanderer.

I would be too busy soaking in shadenfreude here and on /a/ that we actually got a continuation of HF Normal to care.
Most of the times I've been around and HF Normal vs True is brought up, the BL poster opinion trends toward Normal. Banned Mike aside, you've got Altima and maybe a few people who don't usually spend much time outside the Sakura fanclub on the True side, who are noticeable outnumbered by the Normal fans. (And then probably a silent majority who don't have a huge preference one way or the other, to be sure). I don't know how much schadenfreude you'd find here.
Do /a/ like Sakura a lot either?

I prefer true, sure, Rider staying was unnecessary, but its a lot more fulfilling end than Sakura simply wasting Shirou's sacrifice and Illya, Zouken and Kotomine dieng offscreen in normal.
....I still prefer normal to how cheerful true was by a decent amount.
Not saying Normal was awesome, but True didn't seem to have a purpose aside from giving Sakura a happy ending which meshed terribly with the route.
It's probably my least favorite ending next to Last Episode

Seconded. Some would say that it's light tone is out of place given the somber mood of the route, but I think it was a well-deserved happy ending they had fought through hell and back to get.
Spoiler:
If THAT isn't a license to say f%#! you to the grimdarkness of your world and go back to bang your girlfriend happily ever after, I dunno what is.
I don't really think that fighting people while sacrificing yourself to save someone having a murderous temper tantrum really merits anything.
Just my two cents

Exactly. If you want a bad end, there are 40 of them already, earning a happy end-more or less- is perfectly fine. He lost more than enough- at least half the people who were important to him, and his original body- to get this conclusion. Clawing your way up to the light is a fine story, it does not need to be a clawing up and dieng like a dog story.
I don't really think he clawed his way into light though.
More like it just happens because plot/they wanted a feel good ending here
