I'm looking forward to this convo. The Endeavor stuff is the most innteresting stuff in the manga to me and it looks like we're gonna have a little payoff here. Really interested in what Rei has to say.

So dabi was always kinda mental instead of endeavor just thinking he wasn’t good enough.

Endeavor did not approach Touya's stubbornness the right way at all. Having more kids to replace him to get him to stop? WTH?! Also, Endeavor never actually abandoned his goal that whole time, which put even more pressure on Touya, not to mention societal pressures. It was an ugly situation all around.
No no, i didn’t mean endeavor wasn’t at fault, because he most definitely is. It’s just that previously the impression was he was so obsessed and pushed dabi too far when he couldn’t take it and went nuts. Now it seems like he did see dabi’s limit and tried to get him to stop for his own good, but also still not quite letting go of his own obsession, that’s the root cause of it all, which leads him trying to stop dabi in a horrifically terrible way.
So more like he lit a dynamite thinking it was a birthday candle and trying to put it out with gasoline because he really wasn’t paying attention, rather than just burning the whole cake with a flamethrower.

Endeavor may not have been the original Number 1 hero but he sure is the Number 1 Dad.
And we all saw how well that went when Naruto tried to save Sasuke...
Honestly, there's been tons of opportunities for Deku to leave the school before now. But at this point it makes the most sense, since he's the biggest target in the country's worst time of need, and I'm pretty sure he'll have the support of All Might and some of the pro heroes (maybe Koichi, if they decide to do the post-series Vigilantes crossover) to help him out along the way.
I personally think that the class will have finally had enough of his hypocritical harm's way shenanigans and track him down personally to make it clear that they are his friends, and they have chosen to stick to a path littered with danger regardless of the danger he brings.
