Spoiler:
I ended up having quite a bit of fun with Kingmaker until I hit a gamebreaking bug that I couldn't reload or console my way through and now I'm torn between buying the game so I can legally yell at the developers and actually just dropping it cold (to be clear, I was planning on buying it in the future regardless). The Obsidian curse haunts all D&D-based RPGs, it seems.

It'd be funny if the game broke like that only if your copy isn't legit.

Oh, it's one of those? I love those. Like the old Game Dev Tycoon having people pirate your game until you go bankrupt. Golden.

Really good. Would recommend if you enjoy playing card games, board games and tabletop games and the like.

Got on a nostalgia bent and binged the Shadowrun Returns games.
Man, solid writing (even in Deadman's Switch, which is as railroady as it gets) but the engine aged BADLY, and they aren't even that old to begin with. Here's to hoping that with the upsurge of western RPG's and their Battletech game doing not-so-badly HBS goes ahead and makes a new one (hopefully with a better engine- they clearly got a better handle on Unity as their games progressed).

Now that I'm done with Spider-guy and Telltale's Batdude games, I'm getting back into Bloodborne with an Arcane run.
I should have done this years ago. Once I finish off my Arc run, I'll probably do Dark Souls Remastered with a Pyromancer/spellsword build.

I'm playing Dark Souls for the first time.
Has been pretty great so far, but the map design around the starting area on Lordran is pretty bad. Took me a while to figure out there was a different path actually going up and that I didn't need to grind away against those skeletons lol

Yeah but I hadn't realized how open the map actually is at this point, I assumed there was only one path forward.
I picked up all three of the Batman Arkham games earlier this week.
I played Arkham Asylum and City years ago, but I skipped out on Arkham Knight after all of the bad word of mouth. I figured it's time I made up my own mind.
I wager it will be a lot like the Dead Space trilogy. I loved 1 and 2 but never touched 3 until I tackled all three games back-to-back-to-back, at which point I discovered it was pretty alright. Not a good Dead Space game but a decent sci-fi shooter.
Yeah, Dark Souls can feel pretty maze-like at first. Some areas, deliberately so. But you will get a sense of DS geography sooner or later.
The difficulty of any given Souls game is always front-loaded. You don't know where to go, what to upgrade, or how to manage your resources. But it eventually starts to click, and you'll turn into a juggernaut.
I'm curious to see what kind of build you ultimately settle on.
Good luck, skeleton

Just going all in on DEX so far.
