When is there going to be an Asian-themed Wolfenstein? The CCP would provide a lot of material:
Freakishly so.

Okok! I'm gonna fill my steam wallet. What kind of extra content though?
From tale of series discord, people talk like Zestria is really a blacksheep of Tales of series, explaining in length of how bad it is in story and gameplay. Skipping it is probably a really good idea
Have you tried any Ys series? Lacrimosa of Dana looks worth it too. I bought it, haven't played it yet though

Z and B were supposed to be part of trilogy but Zestiria was just garbage.
thankfully Berseria was so good but I guess rather than making last part of the trilogy they decided to make new story which is Arise.
Oooh so they intent to make trilogy at first? It's surprising how the faraway prequel can be so much better

I like Zestiria, it has one of my favorite characters in all of the franchise, but I will admit that Berseria really is the superior game.
Ther are a lot of Lore snippets from Z and B that points to a even further back prequel, so guess the intent was always "start in the present, then slowly reveal the past of this world" but unfortunately we will never see it.

Berseria was the only tales game I played but I loved it. Through 95% of it was the cast, I love those assholes. The gameplay was alright, but nothing really special to me. Velvet played fun with all the combo extending shenanigans you could get up to, but without that it was a bit rote.

One of the greatest strengths of Berseria is how it manages to be a great entry point for new fans while simultaneously feeling very rewarding for long term fans with all the references and familiar characters/terms.
Unlike some other franchises who keep alienating their old fans but fail at having their games work standalone either *cough*FFXV*cough*.

Tbh I already heard the many bad things Zestiria did so that was another reason why I had no interest in it.
What I did not try is Xillia and Xillia 2, though knowing how they handle sequels *ahem*Symphonia*ahem* I don't think I will even try that part 2. Is it worth getting Xillia 1 for the consoles?
^ SMH, the Xillia Duology remains my favourite of the Tales games.

When has Tales ever had a bad soundtrack?
If you can count on jrpg's for one thing, is for them to have a good soundtrack

are you talking about the scenery or Velvet.
I'm not one to usually defend SS but... That screenshot isn't really that impressive? In fact there are prettier sceneries in SS.
Unless you can actually go and walk there, then yeah, you have a point.
Nope. Those are skyboxes.

Try to take laphi away so he won't be close to other older woman lol

Finally got around to playing Shenmue II after I don't know how long beating the first game.
It too was a lot of fun, definitely scaling things up in terms of adventure as the hero finally leaves his small town to chase his father's killer across China. The devs seem to have listened to complaints about the first game as numerous problems have been rectified such as the ability to fast forward time and the relative lack of forced story mini-games. That said, as things got grander I do feel like something got lost along the way a little...if I had to describe it, it would be the fact that whereas the first game had you stuck in one town getting to know and help the denizens, the sequel has you location hopping through three different areas each with their own unique set of characters and as a result the individuals you got to know had less time dedicated to them.
Regardless, I enjoyed my time and shall get onto playing Shenmue III...someday, after I get through all the other games on my giant backlog. T_T
