After playing through the Mass Effect rerelease I kind of want to go back and do another run through of Dragon Age, but I'm not sure if I'm just viewing it through nostalgia and the actual experience will be terrible.

As long as you don't play through Inquisition, you're in for a pretty good time! DAO is still the king of the series, but 2 holds up better than it's given credit for.

Unfortunately, I went to turn on my PS3 and got nothing. No power, no lights, no cold boot, nothing. Apparently it's quite common for the power supply to give out on them, and they're still available on Amazon 15 years later, pretty cheap too, so once that shows up and I tear this down, we'll see.
On a side note, do you know that Steam is charging 35$ for DA2? That's more than most games that are 3 years old, let alone a game that is 10 and has been a meme about slapdash game design for just as long.

I'm sure you can find some collected edition with all three for a fraction of that price if you look around (at least on PC). Might be missing a DLC here and there but that's life.

Yeah, GoG has it for 7$, but only Origins, and only for Windows. There was a mac port years ago, but apparently the company went belly up, so the only place to grab it is the EA Store, which is teh same price as Steam, but need to use the Origin launcher which I've never heard a good thing about.
In the end it boils down to spending around a 100$ to rebuy the series for my mac, or going to Amazon and ordering a part to fix my PS3 for 60$, and getting acces to all the stuff on there that will never get ported like Persona 3, Metal Gear Solid series, The Persona Arena games, and others.

I can even see them doing it with Origins, as a well regarded game, and Inquistion, as the latest in the series. But DA2? The Bioware game everyone makes fun of? Or at least until Andromeda's buggy launch build, and Anthem's...everything.

That's weird. I know Mass Effect got a collected edition because that's how I got the gameslegallyand I got it for like 40€ on physical and a few years ago. Hard to believe they didn't do the same for Dragon Age... unless it's because of Inquisition? IIRC that was some-non-Steam-store exclusive?

The only reason I can think of is the fact that all the ME games were on PS3/360, while Inquisition came out on the at-the-time next gens as well. So if you were to do a bundle you'd have to either make Inquistion the lower quality version, or upgrade 1 &2 for the new hardware. But that only applies to consoles, not PCs.

Beat Wrath of the Righteous for the first time, somehow managed to avoid any major bugs despite respecing a lot in a high risk edgelord mythic path
Time do it again, this time going for the ultimate ending which is fucking difficult
which path to take tho now that is a question

Trickster!
I mean, Summon Beer Elementals dude. Can't go better than that.
I recently managed to finish Act 1 (after lots and lots of visits paid to the local internet cafe) and was considering a writeup about the game, but I think I'll wait until I manage to finish it at least.

Well its a choice between beyond busted Trickster which should result in extremely satisfying dunking on lategame portion of the game
and Demon into GD playthrough for the story factor
ITS A HARD FUCKING CHOICE
there are also build considerations

I feel that. I had about a dozen characters prepped in my head when the game dropped, I started at least three of'em on the dingy laptop that could barely get me out the caves to Neathholm (let alone Shield Maze) and ended up putting all my hours behind a character I just made on the spot at the net cafe to avoid wasting time in chargen. I can't complain, it's come together rather nicely (Elf Kensai Magus that basically outtanks Seelah wearing a robe- not even one of those busted Kingmaker robes) but I'm kinda scratching my head on what Mythic I want to go with it.
Oh, and I apparently locked myself out of Trickster in this playthrough because I couldn't resist sneak-punching a cultist in the face, so that's out. Gonna end up either Angel or Azata, probably.

I keep wanting to go back and change characters in Wrath of the Righteous. I wanna be a Hellknight but I can't decide between going Godclaw so I can have funni interactions with other religious NPCs or go Pyre and, uh, roleplay like a mildly reasonable person
the game has 6-7 distinct playthroughs, just commit to one

Oh I know all about Hellknights
It's just that it makes sense of a member of the Order of the Pyre to be more, er, moderate (relatively) considering they're specialized in hunting cults
Whereas the Order of the Godclaw are zealots themselves
Yes this is about killing Hulrun on the spot in the Market
