They've honestly done almost zero referencing to Honkers that I can remember, other than reusing a few characters (something they do in basically every game Hoyo makes)- which is odd, considering the first word in the game's title.

Well, Welt is the same guy from HI3, that's for one. Also recycling Bronya and Seele's relationship despite being another universe to cater to the fanbase. Hopefully we would have less of these.

Finally got around to finishing Black Flag, if only to get it off my drive. I'm sure dropping it partway and picking up months later probably played a part, but I found myself ultimately fairly disappointed by the story. Yeah, I know, playing Assassin's Creed for the story, but I just don't think the gameplay really carried it nearly well enough to mask the plot's manifold weaknesses. Considering this is widely held to be the apogee of the series (personally, I'd still rate 2 and Brotherhood as better, tighter experiences), I guess I expected too much out of a ten year old game. And since none of the new ones are even halfway decent, I guess I'll just consign Assassin's Creed to the list of franchises that might as well be dead to me, right alongside Call of Duty.
