I am getting a strange crash at some point, when I am entering the Church alone at the night time, and I see Bazette and get killed. At a bloody screen it suddenly freezes, and it doesn't go any further. I can save, go into options, etc, but I can't get past that specific scene. Though it's questionable if it was a story essential scene or not, as I don't remember anymore.. xD
It's saying that it was unable to write the save file. Most likely, it has nothing to do with the game itself - check disk space and permissions on the save folder (default location is "My Documents/fateha_savedate").Originally Posted by Jack0Blade
That one's been reported many times. In short: use a different font for the time being and/or wait a little bit for the next release.
I'm using the default font, running it on windows 32-bit and Japanese locale. The problem seemed to occur on random interval, so I didn't keep a screenshot of it. But when it happens, there's always an odd box that appeared to have the stop button, which I used to terminate the game. I'll post the screenshot the next time I ran into that trouble again.

I have a feeling you're running into the "mistranslated flag" problem that causes a crash whenever certain flags get set. The error message would look something like this (mentioning "flp_"-something), and would appear at the end of the scene (or quiz, if you passed it):
No, I didn't get that box actually. I don't think the box that popped out is an error message, actually. It actually looked like some kind of winamp with play and stop button, though the other button doesn't work, and it's Japanese.

Normally, the only way you'd ever see that window is after a crash. There IS a certain combination to bring it up at any time (Shift-F1 - never worked for me), but I think you still have to enable a few debug options before it will appear.
Perhaps the other error popups were hidden behind the game window? Or... if you have Enter set up as your "skip" key, you might have ended up closing them accidentally.
FSN would crash for me if I tried to skip during scenes that had animations. (Particularly during the Sakura sex scene, lulz.) Maybe that's the same problem at work here?

Yes, that's the one. Actually, I rarely used ctrl for skipping text, mostly I used the 'go to next' option. Most of the time there's no error pop-ups, just the game suddenly stopped scrolling like the infinite hang error ones. But sometimes in the middle. Then when I push the button, somehow the scene was marked as finished even if I only got to the middle...Is this the one?

Well, I kind of run the game on low disk-space, but FSN never really had any trouble running. It got stuck randomly, though I do remember it got stuck a lot during the pool scene...

Is that scene even supposed to be translated in the latest patch? Which one is it?
well for me, every scene after getting to the einzbern castle (except for those that were there from before already) is either untranslated or half-translated (like, ti switcheds between english and japanese at random durign the scene). like, the scene with shirou and ilya sleeping together for example.
Unless any new bugs are discovered, 3.1 is going out this weekend. Any more unreported issues/requests that I've forgotten about?
Could you try it without the translation patch? That would help narrow down where the issue is.
You definitely have the old patch in there (maybe even the very first one). There are no half-translated scenes in rel3.
Go into the game folder and make sure you DON'T have:
- folders called "patch" or "data"
- a file called "krdevui.dll"
- files called "patch2.xp3", "patch3.xp3", etc.
Delete all of the above.
Then, make sure you DO have:
- a file called "data.xp3"
- a file called "patch.xp3" (that you have unpacked after downloading the latest patch)
The entire event (staying over at the castle, Taiga's quiz, and other spoilers) is translated. Well, except the medium-level quiz - that'll be fixed in 3.1.
dont have those files, at least i dotn se them anywhere in the game folder, and im still having the same problem... i might have no chnace but to re-inrtall it and play the hwole thing again.. ugh...

A brief one, yes. There is... four new scenes; the rest is typo/bugfixes.
