Ah, crap, you're right. There are content restoration patches for the Steam version, to make boss characters and locked stages playable, but there's no proper Boss Rush patch. Which is weird, I could have sworn I saw an entire separate different translation of it after the Steam version released.
Guess you're going to have to play the community version, just like Kamone advised everyone to do (after buying the steam version to support the devs).

So, just to make sure. Mirror Moon patch is for untranslated non-Steam version of MBAACC. It inserts its own fan-translation.
This other patch is for Steam version, and just pulls up the translation that is already in the game files, but isn't used used in the official release proper.
Did I understand it correctly?

Versus mode and Arcade mode aren't exactly replaced. The Boss Rush has a separate exe file for it, but the old modes are still there in the old executable in the same folder.
This applies to both Mirror Moon's version and... x68000555 version, I guess I'll call it until a better name is given.
Hello everyone, I got into the series with the new Tsukihime - a piece of blue glass moon, and after clearing the old Tsukihime (it was the best), Tsukihime Plus Disk, and Kagetsu Tohya, now it's time for Melty Blood.
The reason I joined the forum is because my gamepad isn't working. I know it's a very old game, but doesn't it support gamepads natively?
The strange thing is that in the settings window that opens before starting the game in react final tuned, there's clearly a gamepad config setting option. But when I enter it and press it, nothing happens. I'm using a DualSense (PS5) gamepad. Doesn't it support DualSense?
Even when I emulate a DualShock or Xbox controller with external programs like DS4Windows, the result is the same. The funny thing is that the analog sticks work, but none of the other buttons work.
I'm currently playing by registering react final tuned as an external program on Steam and using Steam Input, but the settings are weird, and the A, B, C, and D keys are mapped strangely, making it very difficult to play. I can't change the keys with the Steam controller settings. Can anyone tell me how to change the gamepad keys in the Melty Blood settings themselves?
I'm using a wireless connection for my gamepad. Do I need a wired USB connection?
The interesting thing is that TYPE LUMINA recognizes my gamepad just fine.
You should be able to reconfigure the keys with Steam Input. Otherwise you're kinda screwed, the original melty bloods are horrible as far as user experience goes.

Thank you for your reply. I solved it without Steam input. It turned out that I just needed to press the gamepad buttons sequentially from the beginning in the basic settings window. I forgot it was a game from the early 2000s, it's fantastically analog. What is your signature picture? Is that a Western people edit mod version of Tsukihime? I'm Asian, and it looks a bit different from Tohno's room bed in the original Tsukihime....
It's a screencap from Kohaku's monologue at the end of her route, right before the VAkiha fight. It's the english translation patch, all the assets should be the same as the original afaik.
