Now, I've heard of swatting before this and have read stories about it, but this is the first time I've heard of someone being killed because of it.

The swatter should definitely be fully punished for all counts of faking multiple 911 calls, but it feels wrong for the police force to pin everything on him without looking at their own machinations.

So Iran is kind of experiencing unrest right now and coverage is...mixed.
The problem seems to be that on the ground reporting is impossibly hard to come by and most info floating around in the US mediasphere is the usual WE MUST HELP THIS PEOPLE pre-invasion warmup dance. The extent of what I've seen was privately recorded footage, our news stations couldn't get any real coverage.

Twitter especially is full of protests that aren't even Iranian (or old footage pre-deal). The english side is awful with that, Iranian side's a lot better.
It just always makes me uneasy because there's literally nothing actually decent that can replace the current regime. What's even gonna happen? Revolutionary guard decides it's time to take the reigns? Ultra-right zoroastaboos backed by the US take power? Or god help us, they're gonna dig out Cyrus, most known for being a human rights and free speech advocate in the tradition of his dad.
And even getting another Shahist reign of disappearances and torture prisons is preferable to the whole country falling apart Iraq-style, which considering the lack of ethnic cohesion in Iran is not exactly impossible.

It's not coordinated enough to say anything either way. Initially they were against the president specifically but then you see footage and it's a ton of young people in the streets shouting DOWN WITH THE DICTATORSHIP so uh
