The US is so far up China's ass that they wouldn't have to worry as long as they chill the fuck out. Keep Tiananmen-ing and they'll draw way more international attention. The West has already ignored Taiwan for decades just to appease China.

At least they acknowledge that Hong Kong exists. Taiwan is the pigeon peeking out of China's tophat. We all see it and know it's there, but ignore it politely and clap just in case later on in the show they saw Tibet in half.

Ah, yes, the Qing's Boxer "Rebellion" (despite that it was supported by the government) where there were literal scoreboards of foreigner kills. In other words, killing a foreign man would net so much money, killing a foreign woman so much money, etc. Funny that you bring up Whites because I'm sure actually find a black guy to kill in China during that time would have netted super bonus points. Also, the Boxers apparently were more "patriotic" than Captain America, as they don't even use shields. They believed that their patriotism could deflect foreign bullets.
Ironically, "colonialism" or at the very least foreign influence is how much of Chinese history and culture was preserved. Culturally, Chinese people cared nothing for antiques not made of gold or jade and simply destroyed that which they could not use or sell. Suddenly, foreigners show up wanting to buy that "cheap" clay pot for millions.
Maybe, maybe not, but Communism is how it got to where it is today. The belief in the moral purity of the underdog. The underdog who wins is no longer an underdog. That's why I laugh at people who think that more female leaders would lead to more peace. While it is true that there are only a few female leaders historically, those few were about as blood-soaked as the men. More of them would not somehow mean less blood. Also, I don't like Black Panther's concept of a mystical African tribe who, despite having the power to take over the world, never once tried, despite both Europeans (as most people know) and Asians having tried. Again, the illusion of innocence brought on by the real life weakness of African countries.
The plot of the movie is LITERALLY about them trying lol
Yeah, and aside from that Wakanda is built atop a super-material that gives them technology and quality of life far higher than pretty much any other nation, especially in ancient times. They'd literally have no reason to invade other nations apart from a misplaced sense of benevolent imperialism, which, again, was the entire plot of the movie as Mcjon said.
Funny that you bring up saints as many Chinese converted to Christianity when it was first introduced because they believed that by doing so, they would gain "foreign protection", though admittedly more through the clergy than God.
Well, during its height, most Chinese empires were the best that those people knew as well. Compared to the "heartland", the Russian north, the Xinjiang west, and the Vietnamese South were a lot poorer. Of course, Japan was across the sea. That's why many Chinese were freaking out over the rich Europeans who were apparently even further west than Tibet (oftentimes called the land of Buddha).
I know that I post this a lot, but that video is quite a good response to this article: https://www.sankakucomplex.com/2019/...ed-disgraceful So when will cosplaying an SS officer be viewed the same as cosplaying a Mongol or Inquisitor? While Anime Boston did not quite ban the outfit (I saw a Schrodinger from Hellsing when I was there), they did ban the swastika (though, for a Dies Irae cosplay, this is a nonissue), while some convention in New York banned not only the WWII German uniform, but also the WWI one from Saga of Tanya the Evil... While promoting the movie.
That is irrelevant.
