Not even that. The term is used in two senses, in general:first, the creation of a public environment that seeks to not offend or threaten its occupants according to their feelings on the matter, and second, a kind of private club for minority issues. Clubs aren't segregation.

No, they don't. saying "now the minorities want to segregate themselves!" is an absurd false equivalence to what segregation actually was during the Jim Crow era.

Trying to make a dish and failing doesn't automatically equal "disrespectful cultural appropriation!!!!" but college students will be college students.
If anything the huballo over cultural appropriation is anticapitalism too careful, dishonest, or unaware to say it.
I heard that learning Japanese if you aren't at least half Japanese yourself is disrespectful cultural appropriation because you'll be spreading a distorted image of Japanese culture to whoever you interact with, but that's silly because everybody knows people who learn Japanese are all shut-ins.
