No bang, sadly.
Bringing up this conversation again but..
I was under the understanding that the host country could not lift diplomatic immunity at will. A diplomat could murder someone in the street and they could be declared persona non grata but it just means the host country would have to recall them. If they didn't then they'd lose diplomatic immunity. Or the host country could ask for the other country to revoke immunity.
The thing Seika posted just seems to back that up.

Yeah, I was under the impression that the only ones that could actually revoke the diplomatic immunity were the sending state or police sergeants with an axe to grind.

Literally five years old.A committee supporting Mr Cruz published a nude photo of Mr Trump's wife Melania from 2000. In retaliation, Mr Trump tweeted an unflattering picture of Mr Cruz's wife Heidi.
Asked by CNN about the dispute, Mr Trump said: "He started it."
CNN presenter Anderson Cooper said: "But, sir, with all due respect, that's the argument of a five-year-old."
"No, it's not," said Mr Trump.

Actually in that same programme he made CNN look ridiculous. He literally pulled his own script out and made Anderson Cooper read it live on air.

The GOP frontrunner knew he would be asked about his embattled campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who has been charged with simple battery of a reporter, and he responded by offering a point-by-point rebuttal to the accusation.
Trump's display, which worked quite well for him, served to showcase how the reality television star's undaunted self-confidence and knack for stagecraft enable him to overcome the controversies that might threaten to ruin other candidates.

Trump trumps it up again.
The BBC is obsessed with putting out piece after piece on Trump, never see any other US political articles.
To be honest though, the backtracking is dumber than the initial comment.
If abortion became illegal then logically people who do it should be punished because that's kind of the whole point of something being illegal. There should be literally zero controversy about this.
If it should become illegal is the controversial point.

well, no. in most cases even those arguing abortion should be illegal argue that women who pursue them should not be punished, the doctor that performs them should be. thats why even most of the pro life community jumped on the dogpile.
(this is not an endorsement of that frame of thinking incidentally)
I'm aware of the politically correct view, I'm just saying that view is fairly nonsensical.
But I suppose from the point of view of wanting to win the election going with the 'controversial' approach is dumb, so complaint revoked I guess.
