Where I differ is where I'd place the blame. Thinking of things like the DNC wrongfully being in Hillary's camp during the primaries, for instance, I would place the blame for it on the DNC for the wrongdoing in the first place. Sure, leaking itself is bad, but it would be like Nixon blaming the people that busted him for Watergate instead of Watergate itself. It happens all the time from different sources to influence the news.
In that sense you wouldn't blame the Russians, any more than you would blame people coming forward with stories about Trump U to influence the election. It's the event itself that counts, even if it's clearly to some benefit of one side or the other; that's how elections work.

Hell even that is part of the false narrative I told you about. On the whole "it was rigged for Hillary" narrative hillaries lead was insurmountable well before any real maneuvering by the DNC, even ignoring the fact that said maneuvering was more talking about what might become useful (which it ultimately did not as it wasn't needed) then any real shifts to the platform. The problem is "rigged for Hillary!!!" Fits in a bumper sticker, whereas "by Super Tuesday Hillary was further ahead then Obama ever was during the campaign and most of the tampering, if that's even what you want to call it, occurred during the period where Bernie was already eliminated and was working some cock and bull scheme to sway the super delegates." if you want to compare it to the presidential election, what the DNC did would be closer to what would have happened if Wikileaks had document dumped on november 9th to sway the EC to vote for trump after Clinton's victory.
But again, "rigged for Hillary" is short enough you can put it on a tweet as opposed to something that requires the use of dates and past historical precedents for comparison.

Actually I don't think that's persuasion. I think it's more about people not wanting to feel like they had a role in fucking things up, so it's easier to cover their ears and shout so they can't hear you.
