Lula is sort of a case study in that compromising allowed him to get shit done but also pulled him down considerably. He couldn't have done the improvements he did if he hadn't compromised, but those same elements he didn't eradicate for the sake of governability were the ones who pulled the coup on Dilma.
This said I do have the obligation to point out that Lava Jato was complete bullshit and that there is no proof whatsoever that Lula was corrupt. In fact, the lack of proof was so strong that the judge that imprisoned him condemned him due to, and I quote literally, "intimate conviction". Basically it was all a big sham and they were unable to find any proof that backed them up. And let's not retread the whole US intervention angle with this and all the bullshit that happened in south america these last few years.

Looks like 30 mil Americans are en route to losing health care coverage. It's a good thing we didn't rip people away from the plans they adored with a single payer health care system in the name of "choice."
But employer based health care is the pinnacle of freedom and not at all just the illusion of choice beneath the control of authoritarian bosses.
Sanders have the right ideas, but years of anti-socialism propaganda, El Presidente's cult of personality and many other conflicting interests, it is hard to see him win. A shame IMO.
The only sorta positive thing I can see is that Biden isn't explicitly telling people to come out, instead to request mail-in ballots.However, I can't find any mention of him on his twitter or website that matches what Bernie is saying with regards to how it's absurd that the primary is still planned to move forward instead of delaying it as recommended by public health officials, one such example here.

To be fair considering the rest of the primary is an afterthought, Bernie could have straight up dropped out. The rest of the primary is a health risk to voters be it now or in June. Bernie needs to end his campaign. I mean, I don’t think he will, but delaying the primary doesn’t actually change lives saved, just changes when they end. Removing the need for the primary vote, considering he cannot win anyway however would.
Bernie needs to drop out of the primary and run third party.
You argue that the Primary is over, yet Obama was down at this point in time against Hillary and he still won.
Do I expect Bernie to make a miraculous come back? I'm not holding my breath because all of Biden's continual fuck-ups will be covered up with positive reception when they clearly aren't good things, but anyone saying that the race is done and clearly for Biden now is ignoring the greatest precedent in recent history to stay in.
Speaking of fuck ups, Biden once again saying that he'll veto M4A, the single issue that most unifies the party at this point in time. Yet another case in point that the DNC would rather lose to Trump with Biden than win with Bernie.
Obama was never down this far. EVER. hell, hillary was never down this far. And Bernie wasnt down by this far at this point when he lost to hillary either.

And I wonder if when the dust settles and the people of that state once again show that Bernie is not going to be the nominee, if he or his supporters will listen then, or will they ask more people to sacrifice their health on the alter of bernie's ego.
Hillary's electoral weak spot turned out being that she simply covered up sexual assault. Voters have a purity test in place which demands that their candidate be the molester and Hillary never quite lived up to the billing.
I don't expect Bernie to get the nomination short of something truly ridiculous, such as Biden somehow dying and someone in the DNC or some other source of information showing the DNC going to pick Cuomo or someone else to replace Biden by giving them Biden's delegates.
I know we don't have a cure or vaccine. However, we do have the ability to alleviate symptoms now, but people without insurance simply won't be able to afford it, and will choose to instead stay at home or continue to work, prolonging this healthcare crisis. Biden's response is still an abdication of duty in addressing the roots of this problem. He doesn't see how tying insurance to employment is a problem, and he frankly doesn't care.
Bernie's ego lol. Keep repeating this talking point that has no merit, and ignoring how it's Biden's ego that refuses to try and appeal to Bernie supporters beyond the tiresome "We must beat Trump" stump. See I notice how you jumped really fast from one point to another, so let’s go back to it. If Bernie isn’t going to win, and let’s be abundantly, emphatically clear, he isn’t, why is he making people die by forcing the primaries to continue. Delaying the primary vote doesn’t actually help. We don’t have a cure. We don’t have a vaccine. If the primaries continue, people will die. It’s that simple.
