Not to double post but a good example of this just popped because trumps lead in Michigan was just cut in half, dropped from 4% to 2% after a chunk of absentees were counted, about 10 % of the total votes, most/all of which are absentee are still to be counted

From what I am reading on 538 and decision desk HQ the only thing left in Wisconsin is the city of Green Bay (they had some kind of ink machine problem or something.) Green Bay isnt a huge democratic strong hold but it went Clinton in ‘16 and there is not a lot of reason to think it flips, so looks like Biden is gonna win.
michigan the big name still on the list is the city of detroit. Apparently they haven’t counted much/any of the absentee ballots from there yet and it’s a major dem strong hold. Over the last hour trumps lead has been cut from 250K to about 70K.
once Detroit gets tabulated I can’t call the winner but I would rather be Biden then trump. These absentee ballots are going Biden’s way by 3-1 margins. Starting to think I might actually get an hour or twos sleep tonight before work after all

I would actually be ready to call it and go to bed but “apparently” some kind of polling error in Michigan has been corrected in the tabs retracting like 130k votes from Biden’s total (duh fuck?) and trump is now up by about 200k. So now, when Wayne county dumps it’s expected 150k to 250k votes for joe, instead of being a game clincher it’s going to be a photo finish, so there is that

We got a big hit of voters from Wayne county and as expected biden rolled. It due to that accounting error I mentioned in a previous post instead of that being the dagger trump is still holding on by about 60k. We will have to wait for the rest of the absentee ballots and the last bits of Wayne to determine the winner.

Yeah. Reporting slowed to a trickle so it’s just a hair under 10k currently. But with mail in ballots and the remaining 6 % all coming in from democratic strong holds it’s about as solid as you could want. I really wanna crash but I have rode this wave all night and wanna be there to see that magic moment when the total flips to Biden.
EDIT: and there it is! With just the states he has now he just passed 270, if he holds just what he has Pennsylvania doesn't even matter!
