It kills regardless of young or old, and seeing a repeat of Wuhan is the last thing that should happen. It doesn't change the fact that the elderly population/ those with weakened immune systems are far more susceptible to succumbing to it than most others.

The figures given by the communist party of China, a paragon of governmental transparency, which do not match the figures shown in Italy, the official figures which have been demonstrably based on a mathematical alegorythm that cannot possibly represent reality and that they no longer care to update, the figures we are getting after at last a sizeable dosage of suspects outside of China got infected, the figures that we are are time traveling to pull from after this sample of people that got infected we now have even go through the three weeks of disease to determine whether they die or not, those figures? The figures that don't account for permanent damage and assume intensive care in a hospital rather than a pandemic outbreak situation where people get reinfected for days? Those figures?

A stutter and of course running ragged for weeks on end. Ever worked a couple of 12-16 hour shifts consecutively? I have. Being that tired and that worn down is going to cause mistakes.

I remember at the end of one of my shifts I drove off from work and actually found myself later driving on the grass outside my hospital with no idea how I got there. Another shift ended and I literally have no memory of how I got to the Denny’s and I don’t remember eating the blueberry pancakes I apparently ordered. I just paid my tab and went home.

I know for a fact on some long shifts I straight up word salad’ed during a group and/or found myself giggling helplessly and uncontrollably. Its not easy to run that long on short shift, let alone for weeks and months on end with a constant camera in your face by several groups of people desperate to prove a point.

People who struggle with stutters will occasionally have moments, exacerbated by tiredness and overwork wherein they briefly lose control, break in the middle of a sentence and exhibit signs of confusion and frustration as they attempt to remartial their thoughts and get back on track. This is both natural and expected, and no sign of a cognitive decline in any way.

further, as the primary has winnowed and the work load had (slightly) decreased, I note that biden has improved significantly with his symptomology of his stutter. His final debate was decent, his speech in Super Tuesday was inspiring and his remarks last night were measured and statesmanlike. If there was anything to this cockamamie idea he had dementia he would be getting worse, not better.

His final debate was pathetic when you consider how little he actually talked, but that debate as a whole was bad with Pete talking over literally everybody the store time. The tiredness comments kind of flies in the face of how Biden's staff/surrogates are on the record saying that Biden needs to minimize any speaking arrangements after noon because of what we've seen him do. We just saw him verbally berate and belittle someone about guns, and Biden made several slips calling his knowledge about guns into question. Sure, the campaign trail is considered one of the most stressful aspects of the Presidency, but, even with things getting easier for him now that previous critics of his are falling in line to back him, he's still the most AWOL candidate, barring Warren doing whatever stupid race/gender bupkis she's concocting in the background.

Now we have Clyburn and other high profile DNC people pushing to get the town hall and rest of the primary cancelled. This on the heels of an interview here Biden basically said he'll veto M4A because, in the unlikely chance it even passes the House and Senate, he doesn't trust key House and Senate members to actually deliver a good version of it. What a ringing endorsement for these progressive values Joe.

Look. If you believe the figures are lies, you prepare for the worst, not sit on your ass and watch the show. You know something is wrong when a government that is in power mainly due to economic reasons is killing its GDP, especially so when you view them as not trustworthy.

Also, China threw 40K medical personnel and supplies from around the country to support the city which is how it manage to hold. It was equally hellish in the earlier stages before the reinforcements arrived. Nobody fucking cares. Even if they hid info for 2 months, you have another two to prepare no?

I was thinking maybe the world will step up seeing these drastic measures taken by a country that is in power mainly because of GDP, but government around the world just seems to be enjoying the show and milking the political value out of it, instead of listening to reason or use logic. It's just terrifying at how people think it will never come to them. I mean at least try testing for it?

As for the WHO, isn't it said that declaring a pandemic actually screw people over since medical insurance doesn't cover it?
