Not that I have a lot of respect for the guy in the video, but out of mild bemusement I went rolling around to see what I can find. Couldn’t find the tweet in the guys twitter feed, not any reference to why it might have been deleted. A bit of googling around did not produce anything from Emerson either except for some old primary polls.

on a quasi related note home boy on Twitter was a refreshing breath of honesty at one point. In response to one person who said something like “shouldn’t people who support sanders who would want to see Biden removed, and would also lose their shit if someone besides Bernie was nominated in his place own up to the fact that they want Biden removed so Bernie gets the nod?”

and as opposed to a rather common if spurious claim I usually hear when that gets brought up which usually says something like “oh no, that’s not it at all, we just want to believe women to, its totes not about the primary result, it’s a moral stand!”

this guy actually replied something “of course we own it that we want sanders to replace Biden on the ticket. I don’t think socialists should hide that.”

Frankly, I'm skeptical the numbers are that high too. I agree with Kyle that those numbers markedly shrink, though I think he's giving way too much credit that 15% will either not vote or vote third party. If anything, I'd expect Blacks abandoning Biden in a fashion similar to Hillary to play a more significant role than anything. Be cool if those numbers actually were that high though since hey, maybe a third party would actually get official recognition.

I worded that poorly. I would expect Blacks abandoning Biden to be something that's more likely to happen and have greater significance than Sanders supporters, in a fashion similar to what we saw in 2016.

Trump needs a legitimate target to rally people behind him to win the election. China is the perfect punching bag, even better than the Democrats. A lie can become true after repeated a million times to people, and we are in for a fun time when that happens.

The lie doesn't become true, you know. This isn't the Nasuverse. It just means his supporters don't care if it's true or not. If it comes to blaming China, it doesn't mean much. If it comes to acting against China, it's an entirely different problem. Just the logistics of moving troops, training troops, deploying troops in the middle of a damn plague clearly shows such a thing to be a fool's errand. Without any kind of engagement. And I mean really, what goal would you have? Try to liberate Taiwan and Hong Kong and occupy the South China sea indefinitely as punishment for a supposed lab accident?

That's a damn forever war. Afghanistan would be a joke compared to that. No one would win and everyone would suffer, even those not involved in the conflict.
