Nah, just grandstanding right now, afaIk. Basically, he's throwing a temper tantrum because Twitter admitted he's a liar, and is just generally threatening all Social Media companies if they don't stop calling him out on the bullshit he pushes. It's the first time they've done so, since they're now enforcing their own rules on politicians as well as regular people.

Amusingly, this theoretically means they could ban the POTUS account... after all, he's threatening them directly.

I mean in this case they apparently were sacked, but there are plenty of cases of similar police misconduct in the states, with similar degree of corroborating evidence where that's pretty much what happened, yes.

It's damn near impossible to bring police to justice when they commit crimes. The legal, judicial, and executive processes are openly rigged in their favor and their organization actively fights reforms with the backing of large portions of the public and political establishment. Especially the conservative side. They have to be pretty blatant, and with a pattern of misbehavior backing their actions to face meaningful repercussions. Even supposedly impartial juries are actively instructed to err on the side of the police, who are seen as making split-second decisions regarding their own safety and that of the public.

Cops are damn near untouchable legally.
