Apparently that stimulus package has 4.25 trillion listed for big business rather than the oft mentioned 500 billion.
now thats some surprising news
[04:55] Lianru: i3uster is actuallly quite cute
How? That's some shadow budget right there. That's more than twice what they're even saying the stimulus package is supposed to be on the news. Where the hell did you get that number?

Let it not burden your soul, nor numb your strides.
Pretty much. The BS about not being able to fund student loan forgiveness wholesale or any number of things we need is such tripe that the repeated ad nauseam talk about unrealistic goals weighs on me every time the bailouts get bigger. Carnival does not need a PENNY of that cash, screw them.
And the article referenced here.

And a tweet if you'd rather that.
Welp. If that's accurate, then it seems pretty clear that that system ain't gonna change without a good deal of death in the right places first.
Don't much see that happening, either.

Which is why you don't *wait* for the deaths to happen, you take a more active role in them.
Good luck running by the American people these days. About the only people who have the drive and means to do so are the ones that put Trump in office in the first place and keep supporting him no matter what he does.

Then again, the flu was killing Americans left and right and nobody seemed to care, so I guess Trump is correct saying that Easter will be fine: Everyone will get used to people getting the virus and dying so much they will stop caring and go back to work.
Maybe. Seems like the Republican states may go that route, while the ones run by Dems are butting heads. The Dem ones are some of the biggest money-makers for the economy.
As for people getting used to it... that seems to be what we do now.

BTW are there any articles mentioning the destination of the stimulus package's money? Just want to make sure how verifiable claims of it being mostly destined to big corporations are.

@Laserman - Cynical as it might be, polling indicates that even Trump's craziness is received as a good handling of this predicament, although thank goodness Dr. Fauci is more trusted for the moment. Like I was saying before, people can live in a really hard to penetrate bubble as long as they personally don't have to experience a lot of deaths in their area, so whoever is their main source of information (and for a disturbing amount of people, its primarily certain areas of Facebook, Fox News, and OAN - which had the brilliant idea of shoving a hair dryer into your nose and inhaling the hot air to kill the virus - as their sources of information).
So people can get used to something that doesn't seem to hit them too hard, human beings are like that. People survive outrageous things in this world every single day, and to some their world keeps spinning despite that type of rampant misery. So no, it's not untrue that a good deal of Americans brush off the death toll of people who contract the flu. This however does have the potential to penetrate things as its causing more and more of an effect exponentially as time passes, but it is true that right now, a disturbing amount of states are doing absolutely nothing to prepare or even react, which is a problem.
The main thing to observe is that the Coronavirus hits everyone equally. Hell, the rich are even the main vector of infection since they're the ones who were most likely outside and brought the plague to their respective countries. That's why the current crisis is penetrating through the bubble and shaking things up.
Of course, the rich are a lot more likely to survive infection while the poor are very likely to die due to lack of healtcare access in places were a public healthcare system. Furthermore the living conditions of the poor make it so the virus spreads much faster, like for example a Brazilian favela. So basically attitudes like BoJo's are gonna end with a greater amount of poor dead compared to rich people, which is pointing out the obvious, but the important thing to note is that the rich are still affected.
Furthermore, the market crash and the sudden economic crisis caused by the virus is going to erode their fortunes, at the very least cause enough ripples to not allow them to simply ignore the situation.
Repeating myself, predicting things is impossible. But I wonder if this crisis will finally end up being the breaking point that forces the paradigm to shift, and how bad said breaking point and its consequences are gonna be.
