Current Standing is Ash with 3 Pokemon left(Greninja, Goodra, and Pikachu), Alain with 2 (Charizard and Bisharp)
Pikachu knocked out Alain's Tyranitar and Metagross. Noivern got knocked out by Weaville, who was then taken out by Hawlucha who also fainted iirc. Mutual faint between Talonflame and Unfeazent. Alain sent out Charizard against Pikachu after Tyranitar gets knocked out.
Huh so he actually has a shot then, if he does end up making it to victory do you think they might retire him as a character?

Eh, predictable loss is predictable. Having Ash actually win requires far more balls then the writing staff posses (since then they might have to do something, you know, different). Not to mention it would mean that their current pet Alain would have to actually lose a battle for once in his life.

I'm thinking... a lot. Sun and Moon Ash is probably gonna look like Kanto as and start using bug types to try and beat flying types again or something.
Speaking of which... if people are salty now, I can't wait till the inevitable release of Greninja in the first 1-3 episodes of the new region
