It's one thing to do that, it's another to absolutely suck at it and write a 16 page rant against critics who don't exist.
Oh, those critics exist. As for "sucking at it", maybe or maybe not, but being blunt seems to be in fashion nowadays. Whether or not that's a good thing is nothing more than a matter of perspective and opinion.
The critics didn't like Tamaki for VERY different reasons which Ohkubo never addressed and actually doubled down on in the process of debunking the fake criticism.
Also, being "blunt" was not this at all. It was literally a screed that took you out of universe to hear Ohkubo's own rant, and it added nothing to the story.
Well, yes, Ohkubo told those critics to go fuck themselves, rather than answer them seriously, as well he should.
I read that segment.
If he's so "rightoid" to you, then why are you reading his works? Fuck, why are you even on a Type-Moon forum? Doesn't all the "problematic" stuff trigger you? As for myself, I enjoy the "problematic" content, of course, but I enjoy the "degenerate" content even more.
I never understand LVL's train of thought when he immediately jumps to the most strawmannish "why are you in a Type-Moon forum" possible.
Call me 想φαγω.
Spoiler:
Hard as it may be to believe to you it is possible to enjoy certain aspects of things while remaining critical of other aspects, and liking something a person makes doesn't mean you have to be their personal worldview defense drone.
Plus if anyone was 'triggered' as you say it's the mangaka cause that segment was just a hilarious meltdown.
You really think people are unable to make a compromise with Type-Moon's worst characteristic?
Call me 想φαγω.
Spoiler:
The fact that shit can sometimes be transmuted into gold does not make it any less shit. In fact, refusing to acknowledge it as the shit it is, is the ignorant & detached from reality behaviour here, not the other way around.
Plenty is an understatement. I'd say most TM fans that can keep up with the game's ever-increasing mobile device spec requirements (which wouldn't be an issue, if the game allowed for PC play without emulators).
I've watched the anime, I haven't read the manga, so I'm not sure what happens in that chapter, but I don't like you being so weird about it tbh or the idea you just read a chapter of the manga for this. There are probably a lot of chapters with amazing pages in that, but you chose that one and that rubs me the wrong way.
Spoiler:
Wait, we talking about full depth read or just looking through the pages? If the latter, then yes, I did. When I say "read", I mean as one would do a full text novel and not just skimming the text and then looking at the images.
Again, like with Tsugumomo, I tend to do more of a skim, rather than reading in detail that I would do for Seraph of the End or UQ Holder.
