Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens Anime Unveils Visual, April 4 Premiere

Bleach Creator Kubo Tite's New Work to be Unveiled in Live Stream on March 21

The official Twitter account for Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine editors announced on Friday that the "Bleach 20th Anniversary Project & Tite Kubo New Work Presentation" stage presentation, previously scheduled for the canceled AnimeJapan 2020, will now instead be a live-streamed event. The event is still scheduled for March 21 at 9:45 a.m. Japan Time (March 20 at 8:45 p.m. ET). The organizers of AnimeJapan 2020 canceled the convention due to concerns over the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus illness.

The event will have both a Japanese live stream on the Jump Channel YouTube channel, and an English live stream on the Shonen Jump YouTube channel.


The original stage presentation would have had voice actors Masakazu Morita and Ryotaro Okiayu, Weekly Shonen Jump editor-in-chief Hiroyuki Nakano, and America Zarigani comedy duo member Yoshiyuki Hirai appearing, but the new announcement did not mention if these guests will still appear.

It's shame AnimeJapan was cancelled, but I'm glad that they're still doing this. I don't see any reason why the guests wouldn't appear for the stream.

April 5th is when the new Digimon anime debuts.

May has multiple HF3 showings which is surprising and welcome because HF2 only had one day when it came out.

The Blood War ended on a disappointing note, but it got off to a terrific start. I'll take the one if it means getting the other in glorious Studio Colorido animation.

I had never heard of them before this announcement, but I was pleasantly surprise when I looked up some of their stuff. Bleach 2 should be a feast for the eyes.

I'm also curious to see where Burn the Witch goes. I'm wondering if it will be more of a supernatural slice of life story than a shounen battle manga and how many Bleach cameos we will get.

I'm so happy. So very happy and excited, for so many moments and fights that I've wanted to see animated.

The livestream also announced that Bleach is getting an art exhibition in 2021.

I hope they take as many pictures as they can.

They mentioned in the stream that they wanted to make a full anime of it but a single one-shot just wasn't enough to go on so they compromised and made a film whilst Kubo works on a serialisation. Assuming that the full manga is popular then I suspect we'll see a proper anime one day. "Wait and Hope" and all that.

Also, hype for Studio Colorado. Really like their work so BtW will look pretty if nothing else.

The announced staff is good so its probably good on direction and character animation. The mechas though, hmm. We'll see once they release a PV that actually shows something, i have no idea what to expect. But I think A-1 is trying to make this the new SAO.
