After the US cover censorship of Negima volume 23 (inner cover is uncensored but doesn't count, due to being not in color) or the fact that the US special editions of Vampire Bund use the regular volumes' panels without/less nipples, rather than special edition Japanese panels with more nipples, I fully fly the jolly roger flag.

It's JC Staff going full Tsukihime anime, which is a huge downgrade from S1's Madhouse animation showcase. I don't think I've ever seen a season by season drop off quite like it. The story is still there so you can get through it if you can, but seeing something so good turn into something so middling hurts. It's like a bad anime adaptaion of a favourite manga, which it also is I guess, we only had to wait 12 episodes to get to the part they messed up.

The first season of OPM was somehow boring for me. Sure, it had great animation in some places, some things were interesting, but overall it was pretty forgettable. I didn't really like story about Saitama himself since he is too overpowered (ironically Saitama himself feels somehow similar way, since most of the time he don't like becoming that overpowered and dreams of actual challenge). It's, well, okish watch, but I don't get the hype about it.
Compared to that, second season was fun. It was mostly about other characters, not Saitama, who actually struggle in their fights, and even Saitama is somehow handicapped in his parts (either playing videogames where he is not that good, or fighting in tournament while trying to save his wig).
So overall I like second season more because of the plot reasons, and regarding animations I don't really remember any issues. Like, sure I do remember that first season animation was good, but nothing really memorable, and second season animation was pretty good too so I didn't noticied any quality drop. Actually since too much time passed between watching first and second seasons I didn't even noticed that they were done by different studies.

Literally just having Garou already makes them compare like heaven and earth in season 2's favor. He singlehandedly makes the show.
From what I've heard the animation in S2 wasn't really that bad, and even had some stand-out moments, but overall was a definite step-down compared to part 1.
Huh. I have heard the OPM is boring opinion before, but never known someone who managed to stick through until S2. All the ones I know got to episode 3 or 4, realized the joke keeps repeating, and dropped it.
