Basically, we got to the discussion of a few RP ideas in the Loli Grail War thread, and I have a still unpolished system that can be used to RP. The idea was to just chat it out, toss in ideas, and have fun with them. Eventually, once things are a bit more concrete, we can start using this as a sort of breeding ground for RP ideas.

Ok. Let's see if I can't start this off a bit.
Classes You know em, you love em. Of course, there are a few additions here. Classes represent the specialization of the character in question. Each provides a single Rank bonus to two Ability Scores, and a double Rank bonus to three Talents, aka Skills.

• Archer: Emo's and Ego's are welcome here. The class that excells at ranged combat in all its forms.
  • Abilities: Agility and Spirit
  • Talents: Projectile, Independent Action, Item Creation
  • Order: Knight
• Assassin: You are already dead, desu.
  • Abilities: Agility and Luck
  • Talents: Precision, Presence Concealment, Veil of Deceit
  • Order: Expert
• Avenger: A suprisingly tough class that deals damage to those who hurt it. Vengeance is sweet, and all that.
  • Abilities: Endurance and Luck
  • Talents: Eye for an Eye, Resilience, Nihilism
  • Order: Pariah
• Berserker: Hulk Smash!
  • Abilities: Strength and Endurance
  • Talents: Mad Enhancement, Battle Continuation, Might
  • Order: Pariah
• Betrayer: A class devoted to trickster heroes and great treachers. Good at manipulation, deception, and stealth.
  • Abilities: Spirit and Luck
  • Talents: Veil of Deceit, Charisma, Subversive Activities
  • Order: Expert
• Caster: Standard mage class is standard.
  • Abilities: Prana and Spirit
  • Talents: Magecraft, Territory Creation, Item Creation
  • Order: Expert
• Commander: A class that uses group tactics and minions. A pet class kind of thing.
• Defender: A class devoted to the use of shields and armor, as well as strategic defenses. A solid wall type of tank.
  • Abilities: Endurance and Spirit
  • Talents: Defense Mastery, Field of Detection, Regeneration
  • Order: Knight
• Enforcer: A class that combines the attributes of a warrior and a spellcaster. A solid combo.
• Harbinger: Similar to the below Harrower, but for those who only have the aspect of a demi-human. Vampires, demon-hybrids, homunculi, not to mention people who have come to embody a world or concept. A solid class that excells at physical abilities combined with innate superhuman powers.
• Harrower: It ain't human. At all. Primate Murder is this. Medusa can be here, as well as Typhon, Kerberos, and Le Bete de Gevauden. A class defined by raw destructive power and the ability to assume its 'true' form.
• Joker: More of a multiclass than a standard. Half the Talent bonuses of another class, but double the number of Talents that get them. For those figures that just don't seem to fit any one archetype.
• Lancer: Knight of the spear. Geared towards speed and attack power in all its forms.
• Pretender: A class that has no defining traits at all. Rather, it imitates the capacities of others with extraordinary skill. A Jack of All Trades class.
• Rider: Surprisingly a Knight in this system. The knight of the steed. Pretty much unchanged otherwise. Focuses on mobility and mounted combat.
• Saber: The class of the sword. Very well balanced.
• Saver: A class defined by their Divine nature and the act of saving others. Not just Messianic figures, though. Well balanced, powerful, but their Divinity is a crutch.
• Seeker: A class for those defined by their journeys and quests. Some of the most OP heroes period are here. Example: Sun Wukong. Oriented towards using luck and fate to their advantage, as well as versatility.
• Striker: A class for those who specialize in unarmed combat. Trust me, Herakles, Beowulf, Gilgamesh, if you go by the myths, there are some serious badasses here. Pick it if you want a powerful base and great physical resilience.
• Slayer: A class defined by its kills. The higher the number, the more brutal, the most grotesque, or even just the most absurd victims. A disturbing class that's oriented towards hunting down victims, damaging sanity, and dealing surprising amounts of damage.

I'd suggest setting it at most one week before the start of the War (assuming we're using the War). Heaven's Gate's real stumbling point is that it's set a month before, which means that there's little action and so little role playing. The majority are still on the second day.

Maybe for the abilities we assign a points value to the abilities (with the GM's input) and people going over their point limit have to take meaningful disabilities. Example: Rin has incredible magic power but she is constantly struggling for money and messes up on important things.

For Servants I assume it's going to be from real myths and history so here's a suggested list for some.

Others should feel free to add ideas in. I'm looking through books on Hindu, Chinese, Polynesian and various North African/Middle Eastern mythology for other possibilities.
Also, may I make a plea? Can we limit the gender bending if possible? There are a number of female heroes in mythology we can use. For example there's Judith for Assassin, Queen Hippolyta for Pretender (since the myths don't to define her combat traits much), Scathach and Aife for Lancer, Joan (or Jean d'Arc) for Saber or Saver, Atalanta for Seeker etc. Admittedly the ranks of well known heroines aren't exactly enormous but there are some who can be used.

I don't have permission to use Verg's. He's never given me a straight answer on that question. For starters there isn't a set RP to work with here. Rather, this is just for throwing out ideas, though having figures that might fit into the individual Classes is nice.

As for points... This system uses a point-buy method that actually provides the same amount of starting points to all characters based on their Tier and Level.

It's a RP that came completely out of nowhere.
I decided to become the GM due to the facts that I came up the idea in the first place, and that nobody wanted to be the GM.

What about taking the taint out of it? It's kind of irritating that everyone comes into the War with the OOC knowledge that they have to destroy the Grail. Of course you don't have to tell them until after they've blown it up. Or what about using something similar to that Fate/Fake route where it's an imitation grail and no one's exactly sure if it'll work as advertised.

Orders A bit of a surprise to some of you. Characters do not have just a Class, but also an Order. If a Class is the specialization which the character followed in life, then the Order is the generalization. There are three, each of which provides the same benefits as a Class: A Rank Up to two Abilities, and Two Rank Ups to three Talents.

The three orders are:

• Knight: Those who fight, athletes and warriors who make their way in society with the strength of their bodies.
  
  • Abilities: Strength and Spirit
  • Talents: Any One Combat Talent, Magic Resistance, Riding
• Expert: Those who survive within society by their wits and skills.
  • Abilities: Agility and Luck
  • Talents: Golden Rule, Expert of Many Specializations, Disengage
• Pariah: Those who exist outside of society, surviving through instinct and perseverance.
  • Abilities: Endurance and Prana
  • Talents: Regeneration, Independent Action, Intuition
