At ten cents a character my off the cuff estimation of the price puts the actual cost around $5,000~7,000.

I assume you wanted to translate it anyway out of the goodness of your heart and had your unbound drive only slightly boosted by the promise of a grateful donation, not that you actually wanted to get paid like it was a real job.

What kind of hack doesn't translate the table of contents and the publishing information?
so just doing some number running
assuming 100 pages, at the standard rate of 200 ish words per page (I dunno if this is larger or smaller then what the internet says is average so I just plugged in the mediun)

would bill an extremely rough amount of 1000. so even assuming that 200 offer was genuine...which strikes me as questionable... there would still be quite a gap to go. though, not one im not 100% would be impossible
