Well you were new so don't blame yourself.
Also I too vote for the winning side.
I will say the one nice thing about attachments is I didn't have to resize them if I wanted to post them.
But overall I vote for them to go too.
I also support thoroughly expunging this inferior feature.
It's pretty much a depreciated feature.

Way ahead of you, been typing the tags myself for most things myself for years. Always felt like it was faster when I tried to link multiple things and it's become a habit.
That being said I can't remember image attachments ever being useful, except so that people get told about image sites, so I agree that it should probably go as it seems to be causing trouble.
