Changing over to 3b after re-reading the bits on each.
Azariel has the diplomatic and intellectual part that could help, alongside power to back it up (it seems). Also letting us get to know the character over time as far as personality depth is neat.
Otherwise 2c with a potentially different face-claim. Nothing against Mu or Siriel, but I connect too much of Noel/Mu to the face-claim, while 1b I have no correlation to a personality or character.
