Seriously though, Ryuunosuke Uryuu didn't have any formal training whatsoever, he just performed a half-assed ritual and managed to manifest a servant, so having a magic circuit, even one that's never been activated before is the literal bare minimum required it seems to summon a servant, after which the title of master can be held by a potato so long as its got the means to supply mana.
