So I started playing 40k in highschool. My sophmore year we had a substitute teacher for spanish called mr. Webber he was very popular. In my junior year he became a full teacher at my school. And started the warhammer club. I joined. Durring this time i learned about warhammer but didn't have any pieces. In my senior year I finally got te starter box an started playing small games (or was it the end of 10thgrade?) well what ever. At the end of senior year my mom through a surprise warhammer party and graduation party. It was there that i bought a whole bunch more tau from a friend for 100 since he quit and needed money. After that i joine league and had a lot of fun durring 1st semester of colege. My league has two first places, overall and something else. I almost won one of them but i ended up against kyle in the finals who had only daemon walkers i could only kill his warlor with the luckiest markerlights. Hittin on 6, 4 hits out of 4. Use that to boost my 8 markerdrone squad all hit. Whole army takes him down then i lost. I did beat the previous best space wulf player in usa hen he used a whole bunch of wolves i got really lucky. Played against wevber when he had wolves recently and lost horrible needed more dakka.
I know theres some Vassal modules and stuff.
Oh well, i'll begin to care once the rules are enforced in those programs.
Yeah I know dont feed their schism more.
I've never played, but I always end up finding some cheap at local garage sales and repainting them. So far I have most of a Necron set and a bunch of random Space Marines.

FF XIV: Walked to the End

Ground Marines!
Charge!
Did they remake the thunder warriors?
Warhammer Fantasy Battles was rebooted as a skirmish-like games with those Sigmarines
Yeah I just started reading up on it...that's quite a shift. Was fantasy having problems keeping up with 40k?
Also, tau fans, this Thing of beauty is coming.
My internet is bad so its taking for ever to load and the anticipation is killing me.

I'm a little excited.
Pair of tripple ion cannons.
Trio of heavy railguns (though they seem more like artillery weapons, but I guess they're meant to counter even larger titans).
Pair of twin-lined missile pods.
Pair of twin-linked burst cannons.
Seems to have a trio of pilots, allowing most of that to be fired at once. Though tbh I'm not sure why the tau dont have better support AI for multi-tasking. They're tau, not imperium.
All that, and in an absolutely gorgeous design. The Riptide always looks a bit lopsided to me, but this thing is just a monster.

Its a friggin walking fortress! I can't wait to have it but I need a job first.
Fantasy sounds like it had clunkier rules that 40k, and I think thematicly 40k just feels more...unique and inclusive. I mean you can have your pretty elves with magic and swords, and I can have my giant anime robots in the same universe alongside the gothic mech-warrior stuff the imperium has, and the piles of junk da Orkz haz.
Fantasy seemed like 90% of other 'dark fantasy' settings were these days. I feel like the only unique things Fantasy Battles had that 40k didn't have a direct clone of were the Skaven.

Tomb Kings were great
Also the Tomb Kings route of intelligent skeletons is probably more open to create new types of expensive minis.
Real sad that the TK are gone in the new Sigmarines.
So I heard the Tau walker is going to be somethin like 325 USD. ouch. And my sensei told me that a new mini codex is coming out along with a new battlesuit that's larger then the riptide and one that is smaller. so that's 4 new expensive things to buy. I can't wait.
