Clearly an animal companion.
Unless you're swinging it by the tail, in which case please stop abusing Noi, Yuuhi.

shit BL says
Once and always and nevermore.
Mildly relevant question to the above: does said Monitor Lizard provoke Attacks of Opportunity/get attack actions of its own when in that situation?
I played with a group that once threw a goblin in spiked armor in a sack and used him as a giant living flail. The above questions went unanswered then.
I do at least know what happens when you throw a dwarf armed with a Returning Handaxe held with a locking gauntlet, but not the other questions.

You know, it's times like these that I remember why D&D is so great.

I found something online, while looking for an alternative character sheet after I sort of broke the copy of the one provided. Just in case anyone else wants it, I'll post it here. Credit goes to AziasThePrius on Reddit. I just added the Faction and Theme headings. If the backstory box is too small, as it was for mine, you can just place it at the bottom of the sheet.

That’s kind of like the paper character sheet. Nice.

Battle doesn't need a purpose; the battle is its own purpose. You don't ask why a plague spreads or a field burns. Don't ask why I fight.
Ok, I think I have a solid character concept, finally.
Do we know anything about naming conventions in Sanctuary? Some of the names in the games seem reasonably normal, but others seem pretty fantasy-ish.
I mean there are a good number of names in Diablo NPCs, but you can probably grab a normal fantasy name and make it work
Found more stuff. Nothing particularly necessary, but this site, OrcPub is a pretty good way of tracking character creation. And you can even add mAc's custom races. It's pretty cool.

Also, it has a name generator that isn't completely ridiculous.

That's actually the 2.0 version. The original looks more like the standard character sheet, so here's the link to that one, in case anyone would prefer that format.

by tracking, do you mean that when level up etc happens and a character get a plus in something the parts of the sheet corresponds to that?

Probably it works in sections, so you have
stats -> race-> background -> skills etc
Yes, more or less. You need to get an account to save your character, however the signup process is just username, email and password. Use your junkmail account though. They're corporate and their terms of service explicitly state that they will share your information, and even if that's only an email account, I would (and did) use some discretion.

Incidentally, once I hit Standard Human, all of my stats went up by one. Is that because Humans get +1 to all stats? Are we still getting those bonuses, or do the subraces replace that?

There's normal human, which is +1 to all stats, then there's variant human who gets +1 to two stats and a feat, and normally there's various other races, like orcs/elves/dwarves etc.
In this setting the other non-humans are essentially replaced by the regional variants. So you either pick normal human, variant human, or one of the regional variants
Okay then.

Damn, I made my Variant a Subrace... but that's the only thing I could edit.

asking more of a diablo lore and not tabletop
why cant rogue be part of the Viz? in my (limited) knowledge among the dnd classes, arent rogue the most assassin-ish among the other? is the Viz just too 'disciplined' for rogues in diablo world?

They're inspired and made to sound like a mix of real world cultures. Based on what I've seen:
Scosglen - Irish/Scottish
Skovos Isles - Greek
Northern Steppes - Scandinavian
Kehjistani - mostly Arabic/Indian
Western Kingdoms - English/German
Aranoch - Arabian
But as you said, it's somewhat loose with it.
Diablo Assassins are more like D&D monks. They're anti-mage hunters who use martial arts so they won't be tempted by corruption.
They're more like the magic world's secret police. When a sorcerer inevitably goes mad with power and starts consorting with demons, they send the Viz'Jaq-taar after them.

Though, this barbarian accent in this video sounds like it's supposed to be Irish/Scottish at 2:07, but I wouldn't know for sure.

We're in the home stretch now, only a few days left.
I updated the doc with more material. Two new feats are added.
