Taking a look at the scene with Daybit's Grand and, honestly, it feels like such an easy puzzle that I'm surprised no has posted a solid theory for his identity yet.

Here's all his lines so far:
Asclepius is using Yama's divinity to raise the dead to attack us. Gzerk beats them effortless.

For starters, he recognizes Yama as Ye Motian/Yamaten instead of Enma-daiou, so he should be a Chinese hero. A Japanese hero is not complete off the table, but Chinese is much more likely.

Then we have:

Way to many words about eating for that not to be a clue. Not to mention he's imply eating is his form of attack, although we don't know if literally or metaphorically.

I can't figure out who because I don't know enough Chinese mythology, but this still feel like an easy puzzle for someone more knowledgeable about it, because a hero who fights by eating his opponents sounds unusual enough for me to find it very hard to believe China would have too many possible candidates available. Anyone here knows a viable candidate?

Not after Quirinus' profile made such a big deal of how gods can't be Grands unless they are the super exception that is god of humanity Quirinus. Gzerker should be a human hero, not an underworld god.

Besides, the scene is him hearing the Indian name of a god and going "Oh, that's <Chinese name>".

still the "no gods, humanity can do shit by itself" is very poorly represented in general when grand assassin is a crazy cultist, the other grand caster never did anything except follow god's orders, grand lancer is basically a god, grand archer is blessed by a god and chaldea is constantly relying on divine spirits bailing them out

I was told to wait for information since there isn't much to work with.

Also, Daybit and the Grand he's contracted with (which also doesn't imply he summoned them) are still a mystery in the story. There isn't much to work with for now.


Despite it being a national sport at this point, you should wait before questioning the writing behind it.

To be fair, QSH is more like successful Schneizel, but he has Lelouch's willingness to admit when he's wrong and now, a belief in ideological struggle.

My personal theory is that Daybit summoned his Servant into himself, becoming a Pseudo-Servant.

Yeah, we only assume that because of the crypter intro, don't we? And that already proved to be wrong, so...
In the first place, it's unlikely that he summoned it on his own and didn't just make a contract with an already existing one (which makes his preference moot), though considering it's daybit, who knows.

Watch all his comments regarding eating just be a metaphor rather than him actually eating anyone/thing.

Alternatively, it could be he drains energy/life from his victims rather than outright comping on them.
