But honestly, it doesn't feel like she has a role in the story. It just feels like an advertisement for her inevitable banner. Like, 'You like this? Coming soon, buy Quartz now!'
I know she's hardly the first Servant to suffer from this, so I don't know why it irritates me in this particular case, but there you go.
Personally, Ibuki's role is really important in the final battle, since

Yeah Ibuki's kinda Quirinus tier in story relevance. Sure she's important but that's about it. Plot Device/10.
Xiang Yu's robot form was a result of the Chinese Lostbelt and didn't originally exist in Pan Human History if I recall correctly, but mecha Lu Bu is another thing entirely... it's worth noting too that Chen Gong has some ties to ridiculous Chinese tech that predates his existence, so that's definitely a plausible correlation.
EDIT: It's specifically stated that he inherited the manuscripts and technology of his ancestors from the Xia dynasty, so. We possibly have them to thank??
