Gil would probably just see that as a task way beneath him. If he couldn't be bothered at first to deal with Caster's monster, he's even less likely to feel moved to act against Zouken.
Caster Gil would sing a different tune and actually move his ass, but alas, that's not him here.
Caster Gil cannot exist outside Uruk, and I still find it difficult to believe Tokiomi would actually do anything about the rapeworm dungeon unless his hitherto dormant human paternal instinct was activated. That, or he considered it enough of a disgrace as a magus to do something. Well, actually, he was one of the few participants to actually display horror at Gilles and Ryuunosuke's crimes and was the most motivated to destroy the monster, though whether for noble or selfish reasons, we can't say for sure.
LB6 theory: We'll get Erosion from Morgan and in LB7 use it to separate Olga from the Alien God.
I've also seen some people who think Erosion was the dagger Gil gave Fujimaru in the Babylonia anime to attack Tiamat with, and if so it could have been added to the anime as foreshadowing.
