I'm also wondering just how she managed to seal the Door, enact the Wandering Sea's counterattack, AND miraculously get back on the Storm Border at the same time. The way she talked Sherlock, it sounded like she was going to separate from Chaldea until the finale.
Seeing as emanations still appear in the physical world, I'd assume the true wandering sea is right on the cusp of being completely outside of the world but still bound to a particular world line due to the existence of the gates. It's farther away than the Land of Shadows that could be burned by Goetia, but still close enough that entrance is possible. If it was completely unrelated to the flow of time like the Throne, they'd have an infinite amount of entrants. I'd assume Fabro's line is just a meta reference or they simply have the ability to observe other world lines, which might have been part of the reason they had interest in Sion.
I mean, I don't see that as much different from Nero looking like a palette-swapped Artoria for the sake of Extra's marketability.

No idea why they accepted a translation with a lot of grammatical errors, poor sentence structuring and some mistranslations [Deterrent Force] but this translator was the only one who bothered to do it apparently.

At some point you gotta put aside your own preferrences as a translator and adhere to the accepted terminology though. I don't even remember the last time I've seen someone use Deterrent Force.
I agree, but calling it a mistranslation is a bit harsh.

I remember I had to put this for a certain line in LB6. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was something like "you could see it as a deterrent (抑止)", and it's so obviously meant to be a reference to 抑止力, but making a play on words for "counter force" wouldn't have fit whatsoever, so I just settled for deterrent and people could just either read it literally, or make the connection on their own. So yes, I agree that it's an entirely valid translation, although if referring to the CF I think it's fair to expect sticking to "fandom norms", so to speak.
And that was also shitty choice. Don't see the point of bringing up a shitty marketing decision to defend another one here.

As long as the accepted terminology is close enough to the original meaning I would be okay with. If it isn't or having a lot of room for misunderstanding the nature of said term, I won't give in.
The point of Koyanskaya is that she's a goddess created by the prayers of animals so in that respect, I get her not being a creature from any human mythology.

I mean, divorce the Tamamoface from her character for a moment and you have a mysterious mercenary who shows up in every Lostbelt collecting monsters for some Mysterious Purpose. In Olympus you face her and she transforms into a shadowy creature, so she's clearly not human. It still, like, works as a character concept.
idk, even with all the proper forshadowing it seriously comes off as changing her from tamamovitch to a new character at the last second
I think we all know the Tamamovitch stuff was purely for marketing, especially to capitalize on Tamamo's popularity. We got some interesting concepts out of it, but the execution was bungled as a result.
Yeah, I'll just until someone better does this, lol. And shame on that website for using that. It just shows how low their standards are.

I guess it was a bit much but I didn't know a better word for it, it's definitely not what it should've been called when there's an official English terminology for it, there's no need to cause any potential confusion for the ones reading to think Deterrent Force might be something different from Counter Force.
Official terminology has Altria, Void Space and Trees of Emptiness, while Counter and Deterrent aren't that far off in meaning.
It does both so either works
