Spoiler:
poor herc even his sword Marmyadose is in before his archer or saber class
yeah it was forged by Hephasteus and speaking of him didn't we also recently have Shiroumasa stealing part of Hephasteus' power to make something? and we also know that shiroumasa is important in LB6 so he probably created it for her

Woke up to find Castoria is now a thing. I haz some thoughts, some random others not. I'm also going off the assumption that she'll tie into LB6 given it seems way too obvious otherwise.
Oddly specific. Is this a Merlin-esque thing where she's sealed there or something?Originally Posted by NMR-3
That seems suspiciously relevant. So Artoria didn't get Caliburn in LB6 maybe?even if Artoria herself does not know the origin of that name.
So they actually went with giving it the dubious shadow powers eh? Whatevs. The Shadow-Treading Carnwennan
The horse is now a sword? Is LB6 secretly Transformers in disguise or something?the Lightning Flash Spumador
So Herk's sword finally makes its appearance. Kinda weird that Herk isn't the one using it. Also feels a bit off that it's supposedly stronger than Excalibur yet just casually exists without ever playing a role. Probably could've done with an added line like "but it would kill friend and foe alike if swung so Artoria decided it had to be sealed away unless absolutely needed" or something.Mythological Mystic Code Marmyadose

Overall I find Castoria to be kinda meh. The references to obscure weapons is cool and maybe LB6 might change my mind, but I don't feel this form really adds much personally. Although it is funny that she's absolutely stacked in terms of equipment compared to vanilla Saber.

So her NP is a Reality Marble?

I'm definitely super curious about LB6 now.
Well... more like, that is Clyton's TL

To be fair, that's accurate to the sources (Merlin says Marmyadoise is stronger than Excalibur, which is why Arthur gave the latter to Gawain), and it seems to be stronger only in terms of destructive power ("in power *alone*"). Plus, it's not representative of her kingship, unlike Excalibur.
I don't think it's the same as a a reality marble, actually. Like a reality marble is a manifestation of your 心象世界, but you can have an 心象世界 without being so twisted it turns into another view on reality (or in nu-TM terms, just having one cuz it's cool). The way it sounds to me is that the staff manifests the 心象世界, and based on some other mats stuff (MB's entry for white len, for example), we know that people probably just have their own 心象世界 without them necessarily being so deviated from reality.
But then again, it'll probably be the same as a reality marble, just that she can't manifest it herself and the staff does it for her.
I'm aware, but the problem I imeant was that unlike the IRL legend which is a hodgepodge of stories by many authors with little hard canon between them (thus Marmyadose existing in "X story" doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things), the TM version of Artoria's life is a continuity of actually lived experiences so just casually dropping in the extremely powerful Marmyadose without further context raises a huge number of questions.
It's just me making a nitpick tbh. It doesn't really matter.

I wonder if Marmyadose was forged for the Gigantomachia since the Gigas were remnants of Sefar and might have retained her absorption ability.
Marymyadose being stronger than Excalibur makes sense cuz that's how it was in the myth as well, what I'm most curious about is that it's a Mythical/Mythlogical Mystic Code/Armament, wonder what that means.
Yup, and I saw someone else mentioning the thing that allowed melt to go beyond the speed of light in CCC event was also a mythic code too.
Welp, given it's more than likely Castoria who will be our Artoria rep for LB6, I'm guessing regular saber isn't going to show up there, so that's annoying.
Also, does every new Artoria need to be stronger lore-wise than the Original?
