That's just how online games with plots are, they won't justify anything they just expect you to realize that Interludes are happening at some vaguely defined time during the main plot.
Why did I only realize now, unrelated to anything else in the spoilers, that Fou was actually the Perlesvaus version of the Questing Beast the entire damn time.
It's funny, because that little white version was supposed to be literaly Jesus.

I appreciated how they immediately made it very clear that Roman was erasing himself from the throne because I was already worried about rolling him.
So yeah seems like that would stop them in all timelines, assuming it was Solomon being removed from the Throne that resulted in the self-destruct.
