Also, on the topic, "Phantom" just really confuses me. Like does it refer to the spirits who can't become HS (which should be wraits/HS candidates no??) and all the fusions are just referred to as phantoms because they are, after all, just many phantoms mashed up? Or does it refer to the actual mashup, which would make Captain a Phantom (HS + Divine Spirit)?

JP wiki says it is the former (and also doesn't include Nemo anywhere so) but even tho they usually have their stuff right they almost never source so it's difficult to know what they're getting it all from.

I don't see why they would have announced that? They didn't announce it beforehand for part 1 iirc, and the only LB that's been announced beforehand was Urobuchi's since he was a guest writer. That's not to mention how LB4 is reeeaallly likely written by Nasu, just from how it reads.

I thought Phantoms were like urban legends which aren't stable enough to be Heroic Spirits, hence the Headless Horseman.

Though granted it seems arbitrary what does and doesn't count, and also neither Nemo nor Triton fit that.

My understanding is Triton is a Phantom and is merged with Nemo in the same way the Moriarty has the Freeshooter Phantom.
Pretty sure the upgrade from Shadow Border to Nautilus happened in Nemo's workshop between LB4 and 5.

Well the difference is that Moriarty wasn't enough for a HS/Servant on his own so he had to be fused with Freischutz or w/e to make the entire saint graph and summoning more stable. In Nemo's case, he is a HS already, but he had to be fused with Triton (a divine spirit) because whatever summoning system Sion was using wasn't stable enough (I think they specifically mention the lack of Mashu's shield when comparing to Chaldea's summoning system).

So basically, if he's a Phantom (which I don't remember if he's been referred to as), then that should just refer to "a mixture of SGs/not-HS (for stability)" rather than "a phantom is someone not good enough to be a HS" since that should really just be wraiths, but who knows.

Oh, okay. So he's a fusion between this person, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Nemo, and the sea god, Triton right? And the summary for the 4th one hasn't been finished yet either, so that would explain that. Thank you both.

From the 10 chapters translated on reddit so far I can safely say that lb4 is the least interesting LB and I doubt the writing and story is gonna improve in the following chapters. Atlantis at least had good character interactions.
And Nasu is also the one who wrote the retarded Ooku event which singlehandedly turned the Beasts into a joke(similiar thing happened with Koyanskaya in LB4). I have good reason to be worried for the chapter that's going to be the turning point of part 2.

Well, he's the only one there who can consistently deliver good material ON TIME despite writing a longass storm every time.

Everybody else is a Hiatus King or highly inconsistent at best, or both.
