We enter his library, the girls get really worried because of a pipe leaking and the potential damage to the precious books, then we get attacked by the grimoire security system and fight for a while. During the battle, the books were leading us to the cracks on the floor. They collapse under Nursery, and Schez falls with her while bravely trying to pull Nursery out.
The cave is cold but the two are kept warm by the fire from Alladin's valley scene while they wait for Fujimaru and Murasaki to rescue them. Nursery asks to hear Alladin's full story, and after that she asks for Sheherazade's own full story. She's impressed by how Schez managed to tell new stories every day, and Schez thanks her father for owning a big library that she read in full. It's where she got the building blocks to assemble her own tales. Nursery encourages her to be a writer, but she gets embarrassed and starts pointing out the convoluted of Sindbad's narration or the barber's six sons. She did all she did to strecth her narratives as long as possible and the result is not tidy. Nursery notices she's unearth some really traumatic memories, and says she's here with her, because nurseries rhymes exist to make people forget their scary realities. Before she gets her turn to tell a story though, more enemy grimoires appear and start getting eaten by a Story Eater. Nursery gets paralyzed by its presence and tells Schez to leave her and save herself, since Schez life is also at risk as the story of Scheherazade is a component of her. But Schez doesn't back down because she was just remembering how she was fighting for Dunyazad's life all those nights. Dying is scary but so is surviving alone by her own mistakes. All she had to was the same thing she did in life: produce more stories than what that greedy story eater could feed on. (No subtlety on the king parallel)
Schez's bulldozing strategy worked and by the end of it she's shaking, stuttering, and having troubles to breathe. Nursery thanks Schez for saving her again here, but Schez thanks Nursery for saving her through all the nights. She had forgotten how lucky she was to exchange smiles with all the stories in her childhood until she this chance to converse with narrative itself. Fujimaru and Murasaki arrive after everything, ask what was this damage all over the cave, and the interlude ends with Scheherazade telling them her new story.
