Because its a girlier outfit i guess? Its also kinda frilly.
To be fair though, it's not really a hit here spot when she's not wearing any armour to begin with.
Clothes give you a small degree of protection. At least your tummy doesn't get cold.
At least she gained clothes with her first ascension. Gotta admit that she looks 200% cooler with her cape.
