A: The "+" means that they're on your friends list. Which... doesn't really do anything, but it's a nice gesture!

'Contact' and 'Friend' actually do different things: they're distinct statuses.
(I'm not quite sure what those different things are, other than being able to make a contact out of someone whom you don't like enough to also call a friend, but still).

It's a mix lf both. There's the crowd who's meming, then there's the crowd who sees themselves as deeply psychological.
Perhaps it is a case that the character is very well written in his unlikeability, and people have more refined tastes than you think.
Nah I'm not having trouble understanding that, I like quite a few such characters myself. It's just that the question of 'are you meming or are you for realz' came up recently in a few places.
