I use the Uzi and Chicago Typewriter, nothing like a good old Tommy Gun to tear through a mob.

is it just me, or have enemy counts on Overkill been lowered dramatically recently? seems like there are far fewer enemies spawned at once on OVK heists than previously

e.g. Firestarter D2 loud - taking the server across the street to finish the day used to be hellish if your team wasn't on point, but now it's a cakewalk because there are so few enemies around

OVERKILL WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY CROSSKILL

well, at least they took baby steps toward making ARs no longer terrible. +8 acc across the board, eh?

Birth of Sky is a lot of fun - your team needs to be on point for the sewer escape, considering how many specials they like to spawn down there on OVK and higher - but the cash/XP payout seems too low. It's far more hectic than Aftershock, yet pays less.

haven't been able to find a game with the mountain one yet

on an unrelated note, that Point Break trailer we get to watch on startup now actually looks pretty cool, I wonder if the movie is as well

yeah, so, it turns out that semi-auto shotguns are now OVK-viable

if you have Shotgun Impact Aced for extra damage

and 000 Buckshot for extra damage

and Overkill Basic for extra damage

but yeah, the SPAS12 and M1014 are now, like, actually worthwhile weapons with a reason to exist

I just went through a Hoxout Pro VH with nothing but shotguns; it was good

The heists themselves are fun, if somewhat light on the XP/cash end of things. But you get Spike's gun from Cowboy Bebop as well-!

Make sure you do it with the Signature .40 for accuracy points!

i guess you'd also have to do it while downed to replicate the scene near-perfectly

Speaking of the Point Break Heists, has anyone been playing around with the Ex-President perk deck? The subreddit's been comparing it favourably to Grinder a fair amount.

I've been playing around with a new build - a Ghostfugiforcer. It's a dodge/Grinder setup that uses Overkill + Enforcer shotgun skills as well as Silent Killer Aced to get a fuckload of damage out of silenced shotguns, plus a fuckload more if Low Blow procs. Been running it with a raven/locomotive (9 detection) and raven/judge (10 detection). So far it's been fucking awesome on OVK - just running around shotgunning people in the face while Grinder makes me invincible. The only real trouble is dealing with snipers...might be worth bringing a pistol of some kind? Yet to try it on DW, but I have faith

Yeah, you can't deal with snipers using a shotgun build- not unless you spec specifically for slugs and accuracy mods, at least, and even then you'd be better off just grabbing a rifle or pistol of some kind.

Got my own dodge shotty build, it's the greatest thing in the world in enclosed maps, I get ridiculous kills and survivability, but the moment a sniper pops his head out I've got two options: Get to cover, or get rezzed by a teammate who's also gonna get shot to death by the sniper.

I've been doing nothing but pub matches recently, and I-80s aren't the greatest teammates in the universe for starting Deathwish games, so I've been stuck doing Overkill, which runs the gamut between I-murder-everything-alone and teammates-murder-everything-nothing-for-me-to-do. Would like teammates who know what they're doing, now that my other Paydayers have moved on.

Raven's pretty cool, but I prefer the Saiga, or those two two-shot shotguns nowadays. Raven's dps is just too small, what with having to pump the chamber every shot, and you can't just walk up to a dozer and empty rounds into his face till he explodes.

    yeah, ex-presidents is pretty amazing

I once described it in lobby chat as "Grinder for fat people" and I still stand by that. Among other things, it makes the armours that aren't suit/LWBV/CTV/ICTV actually have a reason to exist in the game. Even if you're running a very generic Loud build - say all the AR-boosting skills in Master/Tech plus all stamina/movement-boosting skills plus most Enforcer shotgun skills plus Inspire Aced plus Fully Loaded Basic (the "COD build" as it were) - you can use a HBV or even a bog-standard BV to great effect, gaining loads of mobility while keeping survivability roughly the same. Currently playing around with it on my dodge build; haven't done enough heists with it to truly get a sense of how it compares to Grinder/Dodge

I stand by that notion and would like to say that it's been carrying me through plenty of Overkill heists; I'm not really confident for Deathwish as I hardly play it loud and my friends keep telling me stories about it being nightmarish on a lot of maps, but honestly I think it'd be great with a nice Enforcer/Fugitive build.

I skipped my meds for that, I think it was a good choice! That way I could properly play like I used to back when I used to play Halo competitive.
I also did it in one run, barely made it, it was hell and I now have trauma with snipers and tazers!
Bulldozers? DMR kit away! Cloakers? Same thing! Snipers? Bam, one shot and I'm down. Tazers? Bam, there goes my ammo and I don't have an ammo bag.
It's a nightmare. Don't do it unless you're bored and hearing the whispers of baby cookie telling you to do it.

    - - - Updated - - -

wait what you haven't done that?! I thought that you'd have done it solo deathwish with unmodded guns or something!

Well then... let me know if you need help with it! I just got my Dillinger Deathmask from it!

    - - - Updated - - -

On a side note, you mind helping me out with doing some heists on Deathwish? I'm thinking it's about time to learn how to do loud heists on DW.
