I also have high expectations.
Ufotable so far has a nice track record for both TypeMOON and Light Novel adaptations. And we all know tht the original material is awesome.

Damn, gotta love this anime when it comes out. Is there some info if it will be a standard anime or a movie series like Kara no kyoukai?
If this is anything close to how good KnK was, this will be the best thing I've ever watched. Do we have any release date info?
From information we found in our old thread, all of the scenes (plus new ones) will be animated, which stands to reason that this will be a full-series as opposed to a series of movies.Originally Posted by AstralSword

It should be a full-feature anime, yes, and hopefully with many many Irisviel fanservice scenes.

Well, I hope not. I don't really see too many things getting delayed too much. The stuff I am seeing getting delayed is due to insensitive material rather than the need to push it back. While a lot of Japan was hit really badly, I was under the impression the more populated areas of Tokyo were relatively okay, with the exceptions of some buildings and fires. It's not nearly as bad there as it is in the north-eastern parts of the country.
Well, even if it does get delayed, it's understandable, so I can't really complain. All the same, I feel like they were intending this for a summer release in 2011. So if it's getting delayed, I don't imaging it would be any later than late 2011 or very early 2012. Don't think we'll be seeing this air in late 2012 or 2013 or anything...

It'll probably be my favourite anime of all time (until something flukes a win over this) when it comes out - UFOtable's awesome animation, Type-Moon's kickass world and Gen Urobuchi's amazing writing should get a 9000+/10
I'm just hoping they really put some work into the fights to make them memorable. Ufotable really has a way of doing that, so I have little reason to doubt, but if I can get such a great vivid mental image from reading text on a page; then the fights should be equally detailed. But honestly I'm kind of excited to see how they pull off scenes like ZeroLancers death and the scene where Alexander confronts Archibald at the begging during the first fight. I actually teared up a bit when reading it, how the entire time Archibald was mocking waver then muthafuckin Alexander the Great himself stands up for him and counter-mocks Archibald for hiding like a coward. Put some great orchestrated music to that on a screen and you'll have me bawling.
I just can't wait for them to release some kind of trailer so I can watch it over and over until EP1 comes out.

Really, a trailer would be nice, at least to entertain the mindless masses (me included when it comes to Nasuverse animations).
I was, like, watching the UBW movie trailer close to 10 times a day, just to remind how fun it would be to see that route on the screen. Well, it wasn't as great as I tought it would be, but was ok. At least the Archer vs Shirou fight was epic.
