I liked the hopefulness of the ending, but wish there was more closure about "what"s and "wherefore"s.

Yeah, a lot of loose ends. I was mostly going "wut" while reading it. Soul Eater likes being weird, but how it ended was almost inane. Makes me feel COURAGE PUNCH really wasn't that out of place.
Still was ok with it. I love Soul Eater. I guess Okubo expand more on it in Not.
Ending was a bit too sudden and it really felt like it just cut off instead of ending. Feelings conflicted about it.

And I second the fact that I want more closure. I'm one of those people who didn't mind the fact that Return of the King had 30 endings because at least we were presented with satisfying resolutions to all those characters we followed for 3 movies.

Well, it's going to be a quiet fandom now, unless that rumored Studio Bones remake of one their animes is Soul Eater.
That's what I'm hoping for, myself. Praying for, actually. Even though the series just kind of stopped somewhat unsatisfactorily, I'd still be happy to see the bits that weren't handled in the original series animated because it's FUCKING BONES doing it.

This pisses me off since the reason the show got cut off was due to a lack of material and their doing the spinoff which hasn't even finished let alone made it past two volumes. And now that Soul Eater is finished and fans are asking for a remake they pull this. The only thing I think would redeem it is if it's only 12 episodes and ends with a teaser confirming they are remaking Soul Eater. Or it turns out its a decoy since doing this makes no sense.
People will make mistakes, its a fact of life. But if you don't try for fear of failing then you're making the biggest one of all.

Soul Eater Not, nice first episode! Voice choices are good.
I had forgotten Shibusen is in Nevada. But I like that it's actually IN THE US and the author wasn't biased to "Japan is the center of the freakin' world".
Also, seeing the characters from Soul Eater in their original outfits! Nostalgic.

Liking what I'm seeing so far, it's adding a couple extra bits of flourish where the manga didn't have it.
Then again, I'm a pretty big sucker for Slice of Life in anime/manga provided its done well enough.
Looks good, sounds good, and the cameos entertain.
I'm excited to see this go past the manga.
