It began before the anime even started my dude, thank God it'll stop soon.
Can't rule it out until that BD bonus drama CD about Amari comes out

Wow, there's been a lot of clarification in the time since I've posted here. Yet I really don't feel that upset about it not being "clearer". Huh! Maybe it's because it's not so much that it feels like Nasu is leaving most of this information just on the website, but it feels like Nasu is hiding more clues to such information in plain view. Like other works of mystery fiction, you may only catch onto these earlier clues after a rewatch, once you know the answers these clues point to. We still have more episodes left (does no one really know how many there are left?), so maybe some of the web-highlighted answers being complained about could get further clarification in future episodes anyway.
Like, WHAM, Kirei saying what he did at the end of episode 1 makes much more sense in hindsight. It may have not been good to make his comments any clearer, though, since the "it's been 1000 years actually" revelation was meant to be held onto until the end of episode 4.

OK, so I'll try to check for understanding here, based on koto's post above and others' posts...
- the preliminaries looped for 1000 years. The last day of the Prelims, played out in episode 1, happens when Chakravartin has long been established. (Now has Chakravartin been established for almost 1000 years then?)
- As the prelims themselves are caught in a looping cycle, the Seven Lunar Seas (or whatever you call that "world outside" the academy where the Servant battles are actually fought-- what do you call "that world" in Moon Cell again?) are stagnant thanks to the Grail War breaking down. No War is being presently fought. (Now have multiple Grail Wars been fought within these 1000 years, with each looped preliminary "feeding" contestants into each war? Or is really just one long war that's been stretched out and all-but-abandoned over 1000 years, implying that the preliminaries looped back to the start every time a 129th Master didn't successfully emerge?)
- The Mayor Shinji that we see in episode 2-3 isn't the exact same one HAKUNO/the audience sees in episode 1. And YET, he shares experience in the same kind of event that HAKUNO experienced-- as Hakuno was stabbed by a Shinji, Mayor Shinji had stabbed someone just like HAKUNO. Though Mayor Shinji's friend may have not been the HAKUNO we know, I wonder if there came a point where he recognized that HAKUNO may as well have been his friend anyway, as he's had that position as "Shinji's friend" before. Why else would Shinji have been about to proclaim that HAKUNO was his "best friend" before he passed on? (I never actually had the impression that Shinji didn't completely not-recognize him. Even when they showed Shinji's flashback of him killing his friend against a school hallway backdrop, I thought that was just a literal representation of the hallway that was reddened and abstracted in the first episode.)
That last bullet point's extra speculation potentially-aside, is my understanding based on what we have so far correct?
(By the way, now that Koto's mentioned it, I do personally recall that the OG Prologue also had Hakuno apparently mistaking his memories of Shinji being his friend, leading him to being confused why Shinji didn't recognize him. Neat connection.)
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to leave this in while editing my post... I have a question about something I tripped over while following earlier conversation.
I guess this is saying that Mizukume misunderstood some information that the website actually did provide... but the "column" you're referring to that Mizukume misread was a keyword entry on the website, right? And if that's the case, looking at this... wasn't something said in the show already about HAKUNO not being the same as all the other Hakunos/whoevers that fought in the prelims' previous loops? Meaning that what the website published in this particular instance wasn't all new information? Sorry for retreading old ground.

Anyway, for a more lighthearted question:
What ever happened to the cut top and daisy dukes Rin wore on that reset on Alice's floor anyway? Especially since she went back to her street clothes right before fighting Nursery Rhyme's Jabberwock-like form for the final time. Did she encounter a Mystic Code program error or something.

The name is SE.RA.PH.what do you call "that world" in Moon Cell again?
Yes, exactly 999 years if I remember Rani's exposition right.has Chakravartin been established for almost 1000 years then?
It's this one.Or is really just one long war that's been stretched out and all-but-abandoned over 1000 years, implying that the preliminaries looped back to the start every time a 129th Master didn't successfully emerge?
Btw do you guys remember this?
It's about the sixth floor right? I wonder if we'll see Emiya of if it's something else. The victorious lost sight of life. The defeated lost sight of death. There are two beats in the coronary world. No one remains to speak of the Unlimited—
Emiya is Amari's Servant
Pink hair was a mistake.
Amari is Tamamo’s Servant
Nips will remember apotrash more fondly than this![]()
