I think Reines mentions that incident in Elmo Adventures too?
I think Reines mentions that incident in Elmo Adventures too?
Oh, I see.
Spoiler:
Reines mentioned the other incident that's mentioned in this same conversation. Meaning it's pretty safe to assume that Rin's multiverse phone here connected to the Adventures timeline. I don't think Shirou has gone to Fem's Casa yet as of volume 2 but he's already working as Luvia's butler so it's only a matter of time. I'm fully expecting the Adventures epilogue to have Rin asking Shirou what he was doing while she was away and he answering "Oh, Luvia sent me on a casino cruise with a vampire".
I've been reading Kara no Kyoukai, something I've meant to do for a while but have been putting off for some weird reason. I like it for the most part, it's not as good as type moons later workers but its still very enjoyable. So far my favorite chapter was the 4th one, Shiki's backstory was kind of interesting, it kind of reminded me as a mix of Tsukihime's Shiki (do to the coma) and Fate's Kuzuki (Do to the training and high expectations at a young age). Maybe once I finish it I'll watch the anime versions if they're unique enough, but if they're too similar I'll probably just skip them.
Finished Mahoyo*.
What a beautiful game. Can't wait for the voiced rerelease and fully reread this.
Time to get hooked on copium for Mahoyo 2. If TM continues their attitude from 2021, we might actually have a sliver of a hope.

Started playing EXTRA.
Comparisons to Persona draw themselves, so I'm having way too much fun just faffing around and talking to everything that moves.
It's gonna take me a while to finish this game, but I feel I'm in for a pretty good time.
Comparing Persona with EXTRA is a huge insult to the Persona series, even if they're not real Shin Megoomi Tensay games, they're actually fun, unlike EXTRA.
Sorry, just had to vent out my anger at losing my time by playing that thing years ago.

what about extra didn't you like? Outside of the combat being a little weird to get used to I don't remember it being that bad of a game but its been a while since I played it.
The combat wasn't fun, a glorified rock-paper-scissors. I don't really know if a game was the best format. I've heard CCC is better but haven't tried it. Didn't TM release some books that were basically the whole script some time ago?
My gripe is only with the game. Maybe the remake will be more enjoyable.
The combat is a little strange, I remember getting sick of it near the end and just using save states to get through it faster. Yeah there's a manga of it but I've never read it so I don't know how close it is to the game's plot. I haven't played CCC either but that's only because the translation isn't finished yet.
Dayum, hot fire.
I wrote that literally within like half an hour of starting. Stuff like the school layout being very reminiscient of P4's Yasogami, or the daily cycle, they even mentioned upcoming exams during the prologue. It was all very invocative of Persona. That's why I made the comparison.
Combat is quite different, which I just finished the tutorial for. I'll see how I get used to that.
Ouch. Welp, personally I found EXTRA fun back in the day when I just started to know and play games, and also my first entry to the franchise. At the time, I was completely absorbed to its poetic writing style and terms, so I'm rather biased about it. This was before I know Persona, and I can tell how that inspired EXTRA in turn after I played that. One thing I lament is that I couldn't play CCC due to no localization and PSP is pretty much dead.
I'm hopeful that the remake will improve the flaws that PSP version had, in addition to various juicy lores from TsukiRe and whatnot. I heard the gameplay this time around will be similar to Slay the Spires, if that's any comfort.

There was a memorable time since I had the pirated version of EXTRA back then; when I played Tamamo, I often leave the game open while turning the PSP off in the Arena. Enemies will respawn after sometime, so I can farm EXP with this method until I decide to leave. There's no savepoint in the Arena of OG EXTRA so it was helpful to max out her stats.
Seven Crypters, Seven Lostbelts, One New World
A battle between Crypters, with the winning Lostbelt overtake the world.
CCC's combat is essentially the same, what makes it so much better is that the dungeon is constantly accessible for grinding, you can save in it at any moment, and dying just makes you retry the fight instead of returning you to your last save.
Spoiler:
Alright, completed FHA 100%. Though, there is one treasure left to find in Illya Castle and I haven't done the hanafuda at all yet but let's leave that for latter.
Hearing "Shirou" talking like Avenger in the Caren scenes felt kind of disconcerting. Very cursed
Starting to actually feel tired of all the everyday events near the end made Avenger's monologe pretty kino. I also feel like the main story was pretty well paced.
On a side note, I didn't know until now that the term "magus" was used as furigana for 魔術師 (which I realized just because the VA used the furigana rather than the kanji). Was it used in FSN? I didn't notice it at all.
Well, then. I guess next will be Deen FSN.
Sporadically, certain terms will be attached a furigana that is then never brought up ever again. I'm almost certain this is one of those cases, but I could be wrong since I haven't checked out Case Files in a million years.
And then there cases where Hollow Ataraxia's one-time-only furigana for Mystery is Occult and FGO/Case Files's is Mystère.
At least in the CF anime Faker calls Waver magus in Engrish instead of majutsushi. I couldnt say what she says in the text of the LN, obviously.
Are you watching it with the Brazilian dub?
