Well, let's see. The banner system would go. Unvoting in polls would go. The template modifications (hint: friend codes are one of them, so is the classic layout as opposed to the more "modern" VB layout) would go. Custom BBCode would likely be gone. Our automatic backups would be ended. Our anti-spam solution (Which actually DOES stop a lot of spambots from signing up) would be nuked.
And so on and so on and so on. This place may not look like it, but we do have custom shit, and upgrading to VB5 means finding VB5 solutions for the same shit, just to keep the forum functionality we currently have.

The site keeps randomly logging me out for some reason. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it either, though it was also running very slowly for me earlier. Not sure if that was just me though.
Some random bum has a gold name while I don't.
This travesty must be remedied as quickly as possible.

Hello staff, for some reason if I go to the blog section I get logged out of my account. Logging in while on that page gives me the you logged in screen, only to be logged out again. Does anyone else have this problem as well?
It's kind of common yeah. Just click the "Remember Me?" checkbox when logging in and it should work fine.
That's an old and persistent problem; seems like the forum upgrade didn't get rid of it. I personally don't know how to get rid of it since I've never had that problem myself, but at the least I can repeat the old DP mantra of "clear cookies and cache" and see where that gets you.
Or go with GB's suggestion, ye.
