I only managed to do something in the range of two hundred Xeno raids, so I managed to at least land enough prisms for Niyon, I have Seofon at the last step, so that's only 250 on his part ignoring FLB for the time being. The real problem for me is that I want to build The Devil and Justice now because from the looks of things Fraux is the least disagreeable of the Arcarum Evokers, and Maria Theresa is the only one with good intentions from the looks of things.

Going full-color is basically mandatory at this point, but since you're just starting, I'd recommend leeching for Fire, Dark and Water because the best characters you've got are from those. Percy is generally considered the second best Fire unit in the game, third best due to playable Shiva pulling some serious bullshit and taking that spot. But he's still extremely good. Check out the Tier List on the GBFwiki. It might help you.

I also do not know what to do with all the 5th anni free stuff I got. I got these omega weapons and also I haven't made a decision on that 5th anni Free Weapon of Choice.

You can and should unlock Dark Fencer, but Spartan and all the other tier IV classes will be (far, far) far out of reach until you hit HL (rank 101+). Personally, I recommend Holy Saber (lacks in usable subskills but invaluable main class for hard fights you need to tank through), Weaponmaster (for Rage 3 and also Defense Breach being on the same tree) and Sidewinder (for Rain of Arrows 3); but ideally you should eventually master all tier 3 classes, so don't let XP go to waste!

Ex 1 classes are also surprisingly not locked behind rank (most of them require clearing a quest in Pandemonium, the hardest Co-Op quest rank, for which getting carried totally counts), so look into them if you fancy the looks of'em. Most of them aren't great or require significant mat investments to be viable (cough Assassin cough) but they all have good Mastery bonuses at the very least. (also, they look rad and that is very important).

Re: grids: Basically, you need farm a lot. Most of the damage in the game comes from weapon skills rather than stats, so a level 1 Skl10 Luminiera Sword completely outclasses a random level 100 skl1 weapon (or worse, lvl 100 weapon without an offensive skill). Making a grid usually entails getting lots of weapons with the same skill name (all of Tiamat's weapons are Aeolus' _______ for example), then equipping the appropriate Summon to boost them (Tiamat Omega, in this case). Layer 2 of this is that skills are separated into categories: Omega skills (skill has an Ω in the top left corner) stack multiplicatively with normal (plain icon) and Ex (you guessed it, Ex in the top left) skills. So ideally you want a grid with 5-6 weapons of the same type (to maximise the main summon boost), 1-2 normal and 1-2 Ex weapons. In practice that changes quite a bit depending on the element and what weapons are available there (not even getting into the whaling you need to get some of them) and specific weapons with unique skills, but that's the gist of it. (As an aside, Bahamut and Atma weapons are normal modifiers despite being unique skills).

Nier is horrible. Her family was a lot worse than her and are entirely responsible for her being as fuced up as she is, but I cannot relieve her of all blame for her actions.

I've almost finished writing a rather twisted fanfic involving her.

Actually, after typing all that out and rereading it I realised it should be simple enough to just...go read about Nier, lol. Well, as someone once put it: "She needed a hug years ago, what she needs now is therapy". Also found out that she's voiced by Shitaya, which I found suitably ironic.

Edit: Oh wow, I used Viramate for all of one week before uninstalling it, never got the "instajoin raid" feature to work, and apparently they still gave me a warning. I'm starting to wonder if they didn't just pull names out of a hat to punish people or something.
